If all Democrats were like Representative Ted Lieu, I think the fight against Trump and the Republican authoritarian regime would look a lot bolder right now. Because from the moment of Trump’s inauguration, Lieu has been taking it to him:
Dark speech by @realDonaldTrump reminds me of The Empire Strikes Back. But in less than 2 years, prepare for The Return of the Jedi.

When folks went down to LAX to march, Representative Lieu was there, protesting as well as trying to use whatever political might he has to try to help the detainees:
At huge #LAXprotest. @EricGarcetti, @MaxineWaters & I are fighting publicly and privately to get detainees reunited with their US families. pic.twitter.com/KhkAZM2O7R

We’ve all learned how much The Donald cares about his numbers, right? So Representative Lieu, a long-suffering Cleveland Browns fan, used the sadness of his team as a sword:
If @realDonaldTrump approval rating gets any lower, he would be entering Cleveland @Browns territory. https://t.co/sEyKrdGI7s

Sometimes it’s just fun poking and prodding like a good troll do:
.@realDonaldTrump believes he has a "mandate." But he won only 28.7% of all eligible voters. Just sayin'. https://t.co/WBYjewgVze

But sometimes it’s as serious as can be (and he doesn’t limit his poking to only the Dumpster Tomato) because Representative Lieu is someone who recognizes the import of the job these guys all have:
Note to @seanspicer: A US commando, women & kids died in #Yemen. That's NOT a "successful" raid "by all standards." https://t.co/YpwvD49QzL

And in conclusion, I mean, lookit:
As a computer science major, I was super excited to meet the amazing @ItsRamiMalek of #MrRobot at #SAGawards last week. @whoismrrobot pic.twitter.com/N4yqJ0FNXA

I called Representative Lieu’s office a few weeks back and had a wonderful conversation with one of his DC staffers. It was the first time I’ve felt any real positivity about this shit show. At the end of the call, this staffer asked me if I was following Lieu on twitter and suggested I check him out. God bless you, nameless DC staffer.
All of y’all should want to move to Santa Monica anyway, because it’s the best. Come for the weather, stay for the grade-A political trolling….
Uh-oh, even @realDonaldTrump can't figure out how to defend his crazy actions. He's now just shouting campaign slogans. #SoCalledPresident https://t.co/MaBvaXrAcS
