I follow exactly one Republican House Representative on Twitter, a guy named Adam Kinzinger from Illinois. He has problems, but he’s not the worst. He often stands up to Trump. He seems to follow in line with McCain. I like to see what they’re saying on the other side, and Kinzinger is moderate enough that he usually doesn’t make me completely ill when his tweets come up. They’re mostly about supporting veterans.

So, when his Tweet came up celebrating the victory of Trumpcare in the House, I was curious. What do other people who follow Adam Kinzinger think?

These are the mentions. All of them (so far). I’m not posting these for any other reason than they make me feel better about our prospects in 2018, because if a guy like Kinzinger is getting crushed like this on Twitter by mostly what I suspect are his own Illinois followers, it gives me a little hope.

And that’s something we need right now. (Warning: There’s a slightly NSFW photo if you’re a sensitive person below, but I thought it an important one to include).

Not a single positive response, and I suspect it’s the same for most House Republicans right now (at least the moderate ones). Good luck in 2018, buddy.
