I Guess We'll Never Know What Was Depicted in the 'Racy Photos' Michael Cohen Buried for Jerry Falwell Jr.

So, this is going to be a very short post. I just wanted to alert our readers to two completely unrelated news stories. Remember Jerry Falwell, Jr.? The evangelical leader who last week suggested that Trump should get an extra two years added to his Presidential term to account for the Meuller probe? Yeah, well, that evangelical hollered at his boy Michael Cohen a few years ago and asked him to help him bury some “racy photos,” according to a recorded conversation between Cohen and Tom Arnold, obtained by Reuters.

Falwell, president of Liberty University, one of the world’s largest Christian universities, said someone had come into possession of what Cohen described as racy “personal” photographs — the sort that would typically be kept “between husband and wife,” Cohen said in the taped conversation.

According to a source familiar with Cohen’s thinking, the person who possessed the photos destroyed them after Cohen intervened on the Falwells’ behalf.

The Falwells wanted to keep “a bunch of photographs, personal photographs” from becoming public, Cohen told Arnold. “I actually have one of the photos,” he said, without going into specifics. “It’s terrible.”

After Cohen “fixed” the situation for Falwell, Liberty University endorsed Trump over Ted Cruz despite the decidedly non-evangelical background of Trump.

Huh. I wonder what was in those photos? I guess we’ll never know!

In a completely unrelated story that I would never try to relate to the first story because to do so would be irresponsible, Jerry Falwell Jr. once also helped out his 21-year-old pool boy, like you do, to the tune of $1.8 million. From Buzzfeed:

The prominent evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr. has for the first time acknowledged putting up $1.8 million for a business venture managed by a young pool attendant whom he and his wife befriended during a stay at a luxury hotel in 2012 …

“My wife and I provided a loan of $1 million” for the purchase of the youth hostel, Falwell wrote. “Later, my wife and I provided additional funds of $800,000 for renovations of Alton Hostel which are being treated as an additional loan.”

The filing does not explain why Falwell chose to invest so heavily in the venture, or why Granda was selected as the local manager despite having no evident experience in real estate or hotel management.

Those stories, of course, are completely unrelated. The only link, really, is that the poolboy lived in Florida, and Michael Cohen “flew to Florida and soon met with an attorney for the person with the photographs.” But I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.

We probably didn’t want to see those photos anyway.
