Hey hey, Gillian Anderson got a job, and she doesn’t even have to eat a pipe! Wait, wha? (WIMB)

Here are some important things to consider, should you ever find yourself watching any horribly fucking banal episode of “The Hills.” (TVFallsInTheWoods)

Then again, if “The Hills” was one of the very shows to pull MTV out of a ratings gutter, maybe there’s something redeeming about it. Nope, I can’t even say that with a straight face. (Agent Bedhead)

Wait a sec, is anyone else kind of shocked that James Van Der Beek is doing giant squid movies on the Sci Fi channel? (wweek)

Someone has magically impregnated Jessica Alba. You know, like with sorcery. (IDLYITW)

I resent the Gillian Anderson comment. She's done a load of beautiful work, especially Bleak House for which she recieved high praise. She was great in The Last King of Scotland, and I believe, she has 4 or 5 current works in production.

LAY OFF.

Gillian Anderson is uggos, but I agree with Agent Scully with regard to her body of work, She has indeed "done a load".

Gillian Anderson is uggos

ROFLcopter. If only, if only I could be 1/10 as 'ugly' as GA.

Posted by: twig at December 12, 2007 6:09 PM

I'd tap Gillian 'til, I found the truth.

Simmer down now, Agent Scully -- I love Gillian too (though admittedly, probably not as much as yourself) and I meant no offense towards her. Honest.

And she is hardly uggos.

Oh, c'mon, twig, I'm sure you're 1,000 times more uggo than Gillian Anderson. Hell, probably Gillian Clarke, as well.

Uh... nice burn there, champ?

i must also log a protest in favor of the sci fi channel (did that sound snooty enough?).
okay, tin man was weird. but since i tivo'd the whole thing and watched it back-to-back, it was "strangely compelling".
and, i'll probably get shot out the water for this, but i LOVE "eureka". i love colin ferguson with his, cockeyed smile, twinkly blue eyes and nicely tailored sheriff uniform. i love matt frewer. i love the whole happy strangeness of the show. is my age showing?
and, i must admit, i like the cheesy goodness of the original sci fi channel movies. its like MST3K without the professional commentary.
and i like gillian, too. not uggo at all.

i usually love good grammar and puncuation, too (i just hate using the caps key).

must be all the christmas cheer.

"Toys R Us: You'll never outgrow us". Are you threatening me?!?

Posted by: Dangle McGee at December 12, 2007 9:59 PM

Whoa. The person who wrote that bit on the commercials from an airing of "Muppet Family Christmas" is very probably myself or a member of my immediate family. We have a VHS tape of that movie (along with several other Christmas specials) with those very same commercials. The vintage ads are why we cling to that VHS for dear life and refuse to buy the movies on DVD.
It's pretty awesome that there's someone else out there having the very same experience at Christmas.

Oh, how I LOVED "Just the 10 of Us"! Especially the episodes that would cross over with "Growing Pains".

Wow, that video you posted made me laugh really hard. Thanks!
