Wow - I'm curious if Fey really said all of those things. She struggled with her weight, so I'd be surprised to hear that she took a cheap shot at Simpson.

I've gotta say - I think Fey should pick on somebody her own size and choose tougher targets than J. Simp. and Paris Hilton.

I believe that quote can actually be attributed to Paris, not Tina. The main reason for my thinking this is that Tina, as head writer, would not have to ask for a sketch to be written.

Tina Fey's ego is about the size of J. Simp and Paris, combined. The woman also has a tendency to confuse "bitchy" with "funny."

Thanks to all for clearing that up about Fey - I've clearly got to brush up on those close reading skills. Interesting comment, VG. I was never a huge fan of TF on SNL, though I was really, really happy that they had a woman who was doing a lot of writing on the show. I'd always heard that SNL was notoriosly inhospitable to females. I watched 30 Rock and must admit that I chuckled on several occasions (could have to do with my unreasonable adoration for Tracy Morgan, though).

As an Aussie kid who cried like a baby during the live broadcast of the Crowded House farewell show, my cockles are also warmed by the Yahoo News story that the boys are working together again. Can't wait to hear it!
