Starting off this Halloween Love, here are ten horror flicks which will totally fuck your shit up. (Agent Bedhead)

Mariah Carey wins Most retarded Halloween Costume. Again this year. (WIMB)

The huge flaming nerds who read Wired send in their geekiest Halloween costume contributions. (Wired)

Here are the five most buzzkillingest candies you used to get Trick Or Treating. (Cracked)

Ha ha ha ha ha. Even Joe the Plumber doesn’t give a flying fart about Old Man McCain anymore. (QuizLaw)

Dennis Leary continues to get negative publicity for arguably offensive statements he makes in his new book, but really, all it’s making me want to do is actually buy the Godforsaken book. (Deus Ex Malcontent)

Keeping with the holiday spirit, here are ten fun facts about the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. (mental floss)

This is perfect for the discerning gentleman who likes a little porn mixed in with his Halloween festivities. (omg blog)

Oh my God, guys. This is truly a sad day. Corey Haim is officially off the market. I haven’t felt this sad since David Faustino got married. (EvilBeet)

I wanted to post a Halloween-related clip today, but I’ve only got two more days to cram in election clips before I start running dogs on trampolines and fart humor again, so here is this GOP PSA. Thanks to Jay!

I must've missed the memo where it said Leary was still relevant...

That little goth girl with pet zombie is brilliant. Now I gotta go and steal me a little kid...

DEAR INTERNET POLICE: THAT WAS A JOKE. ONLY A JOKE. I HAVE NO PLANS ON KIDNAPPING. NO PLANS AT ALL. THE ONLY REASON I'M PARKED ACROSS THE STREET FOR THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS TO SELL DRUGS. BUT NO KIDNAPPING. THANK YOU.

Ring Pops are delicious, screw you cracked.

We have intercepted your message regarding child kidnapping and the sale of illegally classified substances. We are dispatching a strike team to your place of residence immediately. Please do not resist or we will use all necessary... and possibly unnecessary... force.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Posted by: Internet Police at October 31, 2008 12:43 PM

God damn Haim looks rough...

Posted by: Eep at October 31, 2008 12:44 PM

That Robotech costume is actually kind of badass.

If you listen very, very closely, you can actually hear Vermillion having a geekgasm.

Posted by: TK at October 31, 2008 12:50 PM

That is an awesome Robotech Cyclo..

...wait a sec...

.....SHUT THE HELL UP, TK!!!!!!

Posted by: Vermillion at October 31, 2008 12:54 PM

Best horror porn ever is The Repenetrator, the porn takeoff on Reanimator. Also, incidentally, qualifies as one of the top 10 movies guaranteed to fuck you up. Do NOT watch this while shitfaced drunk and eating leftover meatloaf at 3am. Just trust me on that.

Posted by: MG at October 31, 2008 12:56 PM

Is that what that high-pitched squeal was?

Anyway, this year I'm going as the Hindenburg.

Posted by: Kolby at October 31, 2008 12:57 PM

You heard it too, Kolbers?

I swear, V, I could have set my watch to that shit.

Posted by: TK at October 31, 2008 1:00 PM

At least she knew well enough not to ouch the Jews.

Not an issue if Jenna wants to ouch me. Unless that is some new form of Scientologist testing device

Posted by: Brian at October 31, 2008 1:00 PM

Um...I really want Corey Haim to make me a painting. Can I decide what it's a painting of? If so, I want it to be of vampire Keifer Sutherland on a Carousel with the words "Thou Shall Not Want" on it somewhere. I would totally pay $350 for that.

Oooh, that's what that was......!

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at October 31, 2008 1:16 PM

That is an awesome Robotech Cyclo..

But it IS! DAMN!

It makes me a little sad that a perfect Stormtrooper suit's like a non-event. Do you buy those things though, or are people actually vacu-forming in their garage and shit?

I'd almost feel sorry for the Starbuck generating a Richter-measurable wave of ogle energy (and not without good reason), but I'm sure her boyfriend just outside the frame will give off a good buzzkill vibe and keep everyone safe. You know how these things go.

And I guess it's time to clean up and put on my Arthur Dent (I've got a little bag of Planters and some Belhaven for later).

Posted by: Jay at October 31, 2008 1:19 PM

Oh poor Jenna. Won't anybody look at you?

Posted by: Duane at October 31, 2008 1:26 PM

Great horror movie list. "The Shining" DVD has been in recent rotation at our house as of late and it never fails to freak people out who come visit. Amazingly, we still have friends who've NEVER seen it! What the fuck??

Weird trivia. My husband wikied "The Shining" the other day and mentioned in passing to me that the Shelly Duvall stair climbing scene with the bat took something like 127 takes to shoot! No wonder she looked like such a wreak in the movie...

Posted by: Becky Tri-Tip Goddess at October 31, 2008 1:46 PM

Oh, the little goth girl and her pet zombie are adorable!

Wow, Haim does look rough. I didn't catch him at Chiller. Good for him, though! ...Ummm, wait, his fiancee was in Tromeo and Juliet... as Peter...? Is he engaged to a chick who used to be a dude? Huh.

Posted by: Anna von Beaverplatz at October 31, 2008 1:48 PM

Kolby:

Are you up for an easy second costume idea?

Ask your friends if they want to see your fetus' costume. Then pull up your top and have a jack-o-latern face painted on your tummy. My neice did that to me once, and it really caught me off guard. Very effective.

Posted by: BWeaves at October 31, 2008 2:04 PM

Dennis Leary is a joke thief. Stay away.

Posted by: Lucas at October 31, 2008 2:07 PM

I blame Cabin Fever for my lack of daily leg shaving. As does my fiance, I'm sure.

Am I the only 80's child who was more in love with Feldman than Haim? Not that I'd date either now, but....

Posted by: Melissa at October 31, 2008 2:18 PM

No way, Melissa. How were Edgar Frog and Mouth not cooler than the Haimster?

Answer: They weren't not!

Posted by: Jay at October 31, 2008 2:23 PM

Am I the only one who expected "The Ambiguously Gay Duo" to show up in the clip?

Posted by: SofĂa at October 31, 2008 2:30 PM

Big favor to ask from my fellow Pajibites.

Basically, I'm entered in the Craftster Haunted Yard contest with my slightly out there Deep Green Sea theme, and I'd really like to win my contributor copy of Horror 101 back. So, I ask that you look at the photos, which will be updated with more relevant night shots tonight, and, by some strange chance if you have a Craftster account (or would sign up for one as a big favor), to actually vote for it when the poll goes up tomorrow (allegedly).

Thank you so much. I apologize greatly for the blatant vote mongering, but I didn't work from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM just hanging the decorations that took three months to build not to win this contest against people using mostly storebought decorations. It's a Craftster contest; there should have been a rule that you had to actually make your display.

IN the spirit of Halloween, I won a writing award for a...horror themed magazine very recently.
I got to go up on stage and everything.

If anyone reads Bizarre...I'm Nadine H.

So, as I say spirit of Halloween and al...anyone want to read it?

Mostly its because I have no halloween plans whats so ever (so depressing) but yeah...anyone want to be...if not scared, hopefully enchanted and delighted?

And...you can pretend there's a vampire killing everyone at the end or something, if you want more scary?

Let me know and i'll link you up, otherwise I wont =)

I know this is sort of obnoxious but I'm sort of wildly proud of myself so ...yes

Posted by: Nadine at October 31, 2008 3:59 PM

I know this is horribly off topic, but I gotta post it somewhere. I decided tonight that I want to buy a Pajiba shirt (OK, I decided a long time ago, but now I actually have 20 bucks to spend) but I can't find a link anywhere. Someone help me out before my hard-earned cash goes to something more wholesome... like whiskey or blow.

I guess this is the logical place to post a link to the fantabulous Pajiba-y winning entry in the Savage Chickens Halloween caption contest. Check it out at:
http://www.savagechickens.com/2008/10/halloween-contest-2008.html (the contest - try your own entry first; this daily cartooning gig seems really hard!)
and:
http://www.savagechickens.com/2008/10/halloween-contest-2008-winners.html (the winnning entry).
Then browse through some of Savage's best references to movies:
http://www.savagechickens.com/2007/07/fourth-of-july.html
to television:
http://www.savagechickens.com/2007/09/phobia.html
or plain old politics:

Simply occasionally brilliant.

Man, I'm drained. It's been a long week and I got NOTHIN'. Being funny AND eloquent 24/7 is damn HARD. Like math and stipe42's equations. HARD!

Man, it's been a long week and I got NOTHIN.' This being funny AND eloquent 24/7 is HARD. Not as hard as following stipe42's equations, but HARD! Happy All-Saints Day, all.

We just can't get through one thread without someone or something getting eviscerated. It's like Satan's Ferrari cake all over again.
