I can't help but hate the list of sequels that shouldn't exist because no one wanted to be a part of them for one reason: Blair Witch 2. To me, the original was god awful and almost made me sick because of the camera work. The sequel was moody, well scripted, well acted (biggest difference between the two, actually), and was far more than the story of the Blair Witch. It seemed more real than the original because the actors came across as real people versus actors improvising.
60% nerd, 32% geek, 8% dork, which qualifies as "pure nerd" and "likely to occasionally wet one's self." Mrs. socalled will never believe it's not 50% dork, 50% braying jackass.
TK, I did yours for you, and okcupid quickly e-mailed back to ask if you could (a) pay for breaking the test (b) come in for a specialized, individual study. They've got a grant and everything.

I took this test before but I'm such a nerd I took it again. Yep, still a Pure Nerd: 95 % Nerd, 47% Geek, 17% Dork. I think I hide it well, though.

Warren Oates in The Wild Bunch or even Stripes for that matter could kick the asses of everybody else on the list. James Coburn's performances in The Magnificent Seven or Hard Times should get him a spot as well not to mention his tongue in cheek Flint movies or The President's Analyst which were funnier than anything Jackie Chan ever did.

Here's my test result! I must be the geekiest of ALLLLLLL Bwahhahahahaaa ha ha ha
The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test
You may be trying to use an old session, or something may have happened on the server. Either way, you'll have to start over. Sorry. (If you're trying to break our site, congratulations, you found a bug. Maybe.)

As someone who was born and raised in Pennsyltucky (Yes, many of us natives do call it that--I believe it was James Carville who said something like "Pennsylvania: Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between.") and Dustin is dead-on. With the exception of banjos, you can find just about every red-neck stereotype (NASCAR, chewing tobacco, huntin', and country music...plus the joys of racism, homophobia and xenophobia) you can imagine in the rural areas of PA. I thank my lucky stars every day that I managed to escape to Boston when I turned 18.

Am I the only one that rated a Joe Normal on the quiz? I'm 34% Nerd, 30% Geek and 13% Dork. I feel left out in my less than Nerd/Geek/Dork -dom.
Posted by: Dangle McGee at October 25, 2007 6:32 PM
Guys, I'm a modern cool nerd. But I think my stats say it all:
100% nerd (yes, I know)
52% geek
39% dork
Just as I expected, really.

another nerd here
Posted by: piato at October 25, 2007 7:21 PM
Pure Nerd! Wow, there's lots of us here.
Robert, you're joking about Blair Witch 2, right? That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I couldn't make it to the end. From the quality of acting it seemed like they should have been randomly having sex, because I've seen better acted porn than that.
Posted by: katy at October 25, 2007 7:50 PM
Joe Normal, with the highest percent (42) in nerdiness.
Posted by: Bex at October 25, 2007 7:51 PM
60 % Nerd, 4% Geek, 39% Dork - shocking, really.
Really, Robert? Really?
Cracked.com is a health hazard for me. Either incontinence or headaches result whenever I visit the site. Yet, it calls me.

This is the first time I've taken a test and had my results pool me with ANYONE! I also ended up Pure Nerd - 82% Nerd 34% for Geek and Dork.

95 % Nerd, 21% Geek, 30% Dork
I like pajiba people!
Posted by: clarity at October 25, 2007 9:51 PM
Pure Geek, which is good because if I had been a nerd or a dork I would have had to change my name.
69% Geek, 43% Nerd, and 43% Dork. Is it just me or do those percentages not add up? I'm 155% of a whole person!
Joe Normal. With a Snoopy picture.
I'm so embarrassed.
Joe frickin' Normal?
Posted by: demondoll at October 25, 2007 10:11 PM
I am an outcast genius....like Bill Gates.
Greaaaaaaaaaat. By the way, that's 65% across the board, which my genius brain tells be doesn't really work out statistically.. But then my outcast genius brain says, "Why waste your time worrying about this crap?"
Posted by: vaguelyamish at October 25, 2007 10:40 PM
I'm a huge nerd. I already knew that!

The Modern, Cool Nerd.
Wow. I feel like an art piece. "And over here, ladies and gentlemen, we have what I personally call The 'Modern, Cool Nerd ( say it like you're snooty).'"
Posted by: Bob the Thark at October 25, 2007 11:55 PM
I'm a pure nerd.
Re EW movie list - I love, love The Professional and I somewhat enjoyed MI3 despite Tom Cruise.
Fuck off Nick Hogan.

Yes! Geek, baby! OK, the test says I'm a Modern, Cool Nerd, but my geek percentage is highest and that's all that concerns me.
Posted by: Lisa at October 26, 2007 12:05 AM
Pure Nerd here (like I had any doubt) - 65% nerd; can't remember the rest.
I always knew Pajiba felt like home.
I truly am among my people.

Does this remind anyone else of "Geek, Dweeb, or Spaz"?
Posted by: Busy at October 26, 2007 1:21 AM
Apparently I am one of the cool kids then ;)
My results were
65 % Nerd, 86% Geek, 34% Dork
Which I think makes me the biggest geek in this comments section. Oh yes indeed.
And yet again I prove my Geek superiority over Vermillion. Hah.
Posted by: Alex the Odd at October 26, 2007 4:24 AM
Dangle McGee, you're probably just being honest on the exam. For example, I'm pretty confident that I wrote that I was a "lifelong learner" when, in fact, my mind's pretty slack about that stuff. There were a lot of questions where I thought to myself "Yeah, I *should* want to know more about that."
Posted by: Samantha T at October 26, 2007 6:38 AM
And yet again, Alex The Odd forgets that her superior geekiness (and bragging thereof) only makes her sexier.
91% nerdiness, 43% geekosity, 78% dork points - Tri-Lamb Material
X on a cross, I am the dorkiest of them all. . .
Posted by: Morgan at October 26, 2007 9:57 AM
Does this remind anyone else of "Geek, Dweeb, or Spaz"?
Yes, dammit. And just so you know, I searched the internet far and wide for a clip of that to accompany the quiz with, but NBC/Lorne Michaels/whomever else are too fucking stingy with SNL archives.
Otherwise, you people would be treated to classic SNL clips at least once a week.
TK, you have issues man. Maybe a nap is called for here?
I think my nerd score would have been higher if I weren't such a slacker.
Also: being reminded of my tattoo (you know full well where the pictures are V, in fact I'd lay down money that you have them bookmarked) make me smile as I have my next session on Monday. Eeeeee! Crippling pain and prettiness here I come!
Posted by: Alex the Odd at October 26, 2007 10:21 AM
82 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 47% Dork. Go Nerds! This explains why I love Pajiba.

Robert, you're joking about Blair Witch 2, right? That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I couldn't make it to the end. From the quality of acting it seemed like they should have been randomly having sex, because I've seen better acted porn than that.
I'm actually not joking, Katy and Daphne. Compared to the original film, those kids give Academy Award worthy performances. Plus, I'd rather watch a horror film that actually tried to do something genuinely interesting and kind of failed (like one of my favs, Exorcist II: The Heretic) than watch a film that's only redeeming quality is a brilliant marketing campaign. I'll at least give the original that much credit.
Apparently, I'm a pure nerd because I scored in the 99th percentile on each aspect of the test, but Nerd trumps all. You only need to score a 50 percent there to be called a pure nerd. Personally, I feel myself to be a nerd, so I call that accurate.
Wow... I could have sworn the link below the Hasselhoff/"confused" line was to "Celebislam," not "Celebslam," which really puts a whole other spin on that header.
Posted by: Landon at October 26, 2007 12:08 PM
Pure geek, apparently. Which is what I thought.
I also did the 'which Buffy character are you?' test and I'm Faith. Which I'm having trouble reconciling with being pure geek, as that is not a word I'd use for Faith!
Posted by: tarn at October 26, 2007 12:34 PM
Pure Nerd. Of course. I think that you guys need to link to the Personality Defect Quiz on the same site. I'm a Smartass and proud of it!
BTW- I'm originally from Philly and we do refer to it as Pennsyltucky. I read a statistic somewhere that there are more branches of the KKK in Pennsyltucky than anywhere else in the US. Nice thought, eh?
Posted by: Bex at October 26, 2007 1:17 PM
Tried to take the quiz; tried again; and again. I kept getting hungup and rejected by the "enter a nickname" box. I started off with my usual tags but soon ventured into 'biteme,' then 'bitemehard,' then the slope got really slippery...
I also could not convince the quizmaster that I was not a computer. I could get a rating, no how. Yet, I still want to be a nerd like all the really cool Pajib[i]ans! Dayum!
So, I took that test and I'm "Pure Nerd." Wow.
