Any geeks out there who were anticipating some hot Batwoman-on-woman action? Sorry — you’re shit out of luck. (Feministing)

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live through a category 5 hurricane — here it is, from somebody who has. (Deus Ex Malcontent)

Ed Helms talks about his now regular (yay!) status on “The Office.” (IGN)

Janeane Garofalo is joining the cast of “24.” In related news, I still don’t give a crap about “24.” (Agent Bedhead)

And this just about fills my quota of “funny baby videos” for the year. (Cityrag)

Bill Murray gets a DUI and does it with motherfucking style. Take notes, Trifecta of Whom We Do Not Speak! (IDLYITW)

If you could sue bosses for being shitty bosses I would be richer than Bill Gates and Donald Trump put together. However, I don’t know if that’s necessarily a good thing. (QuizLaw)

Anna Nicole’s kid is set to be the first ever toddler to be prescribed antidepressants. (Yeeeah!)

I’ll level with you — the best part of this clip is the “selling point” that endorsed it: “There is a gift awaiting you at the end of this video. Do not stop it.”

I was actually anticipating some hot Batwoman-on-Catwoman action. Alicia Silverstone and Halle Berry would do in a pinch, but I would prefer maybe Angelina Jolie (get Casting on the phone!) and noted cougar Michelle Pfeifer.

You just know Jolie would be at the top of the list to play a lesbian Batwoman.

Thanks for the gift at the end of the video. At least you leveled with us.

you wanna hear something really depressing...
(haha, get it?)

"the fastest-growing group using such medication [antidepressants] is children under age 5.

Indeed, by one estimate, twice as many preschoolers are being prescribed antidepressants today than just five years ago."

maxpurr9, comic Doug Stanhope does a great bit in his Showtime special on the over-medication of children and adults who have the temerity to behave as if they are thinking and have emotions that actually fit the situation. I can't remember specific jokes, but a sub-theme is certainly pertinent: We are medicating children because they act like children. A toddler is not supposed to have a great attention span and IS supposed have big emotional swings.

Isn't there some international accord agreement that states Bill Murray can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, wherever he wants? And if there isn't, why not?

Off-topic but glorious: My Serenity Collector's Edition arrived from Amazon today. Squeeeeeeeeeee ...

[*And that was the last they heard of him. The End.*]

I want cake.

Janeane Garofalo joins the cast of "24?" So much for Fox being the conservative network...

...They are bound and determined to run that show into the ground, aren't they?

Posted by: Wes S. at August 22, 2007 10:33 PM

And so socalledonlycousins goes off, not with a bang, but with a "squee".

Wes S.: when has Fox ever been conservative? Fox News, yeah, and practically everything else in the Murdoch empire. But Fox itself? The network that attacking animals and dysfunctional sitcom families built? Even '24', despite its gung-ho "torture works!" bluster, has a lot of aspects associated with the left. Like the fact that unless he was black, every president on that show was a lying, conniving, guileless manipulator who wrapped their twisted ideals in the old Red, White, and Blue and claimed everything they did was for America.

In truth, Batwoman is still a lesbian. She's just not getting her own series anymore.

Posted by: Shadowen at August 23, 2007 1:58 AM

Vermillion: The Simpsons (in a rare, funny and relevant episode from this season) dealt with that contradiction when Kent Brockman gets fired for on-air profanity.

As for Garofalo, everyone keeps saying the Jack might shoot her in the thigh. Maybe he'll aim for the head.

I love Ed Helms.
