Pajiba Love

Dane Cook takes “douchebag” to a whole new level. Not even level, but species. Like if you combined Dane Cook and Jennifer Lopez’s DNA to form some kind of superhuman douchediva. Welcome to the future! (Evil Beet)

We’re all big fans of accusing Hollywood, et al, of “raping our childhoods” here at Pajiba… But what the hell is Simon Le Bon doing to it? (WIMB)

GROSS. This Jack in the Box “Hearty Breakfast Bowl” reminds me of something straight out of Steve Don’t Eat It. One of Ranylt’s faves, by the way. (TIB)

Not that he needs it, but come on! Give Obama the Colbert bump!! (QuizLaw)

This is kind of one of the the greatest pictures I’ve ever seen. (Agent Bedhead)

Candid admission: I love “COPS.” Love it. Although, if you’ve been reading my columns for quite some time, that probably won’t come as much of a surprise. (mental floss)

I know the odds of this being true are slim to “no fucking way,” but regardless it’s just fun to think about John Mayer’s favorite movie being Leprechaun. (Celebitchy)

Not that it matters since the word on the street is that they’ve already broken up anyway. (Yeeeah!)

Huh. I thought the least interesting man in the world was Mario Lopez. (KSK)

Monsters are the next best thing to zombies, I think. Thanks to Tamatha! (Daily Monster)

Here’s some effing awesome rich people’s NYC rooftops. Well, the rooftops are awesome anyway, not the rich people. The rich people can suck it. (cityrag)

The Hippopotamus: Nature’s most adorable killer. (Animal Review)

Olympic fever! Have you caught it yet? Well, if you’re like me and you haven’t (sorry) here are the Guinea Pig Olympics, which are infinitely more hilarious. (YBNBY)

Wait! There’s female weightlifting at the Olympics? That is so boss. Why aren’t I watching the Olympics again? (Jezebel)

I’m not exactly a fan of Kayne West, but one thing I’ll say for the guy is that he makes one hell of a music video. The clip for “Champion,” after the jump. (Thanks to Celebitchy!)

Is RDJr giving the handjob signal in that pic with Cruise?

Posted by: elsie at August 13, 2008 4:16 PM

"But what the hell is Simon Le Bon doing to it?"

Looks to me like he's shifting it a little from the right to the left...

Posted by: Skittimus Maximus at August 13, 2008 4:45 PM

Some people do not age well. Which is all fine and natural...unless they don't know it and nobody tells them.

Simon...your sex idol days are far, far, far over. Give up. Get a cane, yell at kids to get off your lawn, drive under the speed limit, whatever. Lemme give you socalled's number...

Now Dane Cook's a Photoshop expert? Is he sure it's the designer's bad Photoshop skills that make the poster look like shit? I was under the impression that it looks like shit because it's a fucking movie starring Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, and Jason Biggs.

"Tom Cruise is always getting older
He knows he'll never be that young again
And when Tom Cruise looks back over his shoulder
He sees a thousand younger leading men
He knows someday he'll have to play
An old retarded grandpa
While someone younger plays his sexy son

Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise crazy
Just be glad it's him, not you
If you had Tom Cruise's troubles
You might be Tom Cruise crazy, too
You'd flash your big white shiny smile
You'd buy expensive shoes
But you'd be the only man on Earth
Who couldn't enjoy Tom Cruise
Oh no, you couldn't enjoy Tom Cruise."

It ain't PhotoShop skills that are the problem. Granted, it's a shoddy job making it look like the three of them are in the same shot, but all the PhotoShop wizardry in the world can't change the shitty composition... It's like applying lighting effects and adjusting the color balance of a friggin' turd.

Posted by: Skittimus Maximus at August 13, 2008 5:57 PM

So when does the Dane Cook Backlash backlash start?

Posted by: TL at August 13, 2008 6:04 PM

I am shocked that Jennifer Aniston is single again; she is such a hot catch. Maybe being a cold-hearted cunt has something to do with it, though I loved her in "The Good Girl"

Posted by: Pookie at August 13, 2008 6:13 PM

Pookie, if it weren't for the "chc" comment, I could almost swear your post was written by a SpamBot...

Posted by: Skittimus Maximus at August 13, 2008 6:30 PM

Skittimus, I know it's not the designer's fault. It just seemed like he was insinuating it was. The only thing that the designer can be blamed for is not Photoshopping a big, steamy turd in place of Dane Cook's head.

Posted by: Dave at August 13, 2008 6:42 PM

Well Skitts like any good artist, I use the word cunt so people will be able to recognize my work. Not unlike Nike's Swoosh, or CK for Calvin Klein. Cunt is synonymous with pookie.

Posted by: Pookie at August 13, 2008 6:44 PM

Cunt is synonymous with pookie.

Pookie darling, I'm sorry, but you handed us that one on a silver platter in a bed of $100 bills.

Posted by: Jeremy at August 13, 2008 7:18 PM

My pookie itches.

Posted by: snapnhiss at August 13, 2008 7:37 PM

Man, that Ann Coulter is such a pookie.

Posted by: TK at August 13, 2008 8:06 PM

If her show is any indication, Denise Richards is a big fan of the pookie. Everybody she knows is a pookie!

I can't believe that anyone would admit to wanting to have sex with Dane Cook. If I had to make the choice between fucking him and having my period for the rest of my life, I'd go with Aunt Flo.

Oh, and in case no one else noticed, TK's cat made it into icanhascheezburger.

Posted by: Kris at August 14, 2008 2:02 AM

I agree that Dane Cook is a king amoung douchebags. But I thought he was pretty much right about the poster.

Posted by: EricD at August 14, 2008 6:53 AM

"Oh, and in case no one else noticed, TK's cat made it into icanhascheezburger."

Um, whozawhatnow?

Link please.

Posted by: TK at August 14, 2008 8:13 AM

Um, whozawhatnow?

Link please.

I second that request. I went through several pages of icanhascheezburger and didn't see his cat (I assume we mean Tart).

Posted by: tamatha at August 14, 2008 9:33 AM

Ohhh. Unless you mean the one that references zombies... In which case, I saw that, and yeah, I thought of TK too.

Posted by: tamatha at August 14, 2008 9:37 AM

Posted by: Jay at August 14, 2008 9:37 AM

Ahhh, ok. I thought someone had done one of my actual cat... or my former actual cat.

[sigh]

Bye-bye, little Tart. Enjoy your new home and new name.

I got my MurderTank™ shirt in the mail in a stylin' held-together-by-nothin'-but-tape box, which was sweet and so Pajiba. ANYwhos, shirt Yay! Yay MurderTank™! Yay... oh. Shirt from American Apparel. Yeeeeah.

When I became a mother 2 years ago, I realized something- it isn't the fault of the folks over at American Apparel that they are total boob-denying douchebags, it MUST be the fault of their mothers. I can see it now- the AA designers just 4, 5 months old, watching in fascination as their little friends of similar age suckled that sweet, life giving milk from their mother's tatas. How jealous they must have been! Their own mothers, selfishly denying them the experience, keeping their breasts encased in a shapeless, square-like shirt! The rage! The anger! They knew not why they were so affected, they simply were.

The fixation would not pass, nay, it would not. As these young tots grew, they found any similar shape wholly offensive. A round, gentle hill sent them into fits of rage- and don't even ask about that Thanksgiving of '87 when Aunt Myrtle brought the circular jello mold. The anger grew to denial- perhaps all things mammary did not exist! How better to prove such a thing than to create their own apparel line? How truly American to deal with these issues not with therapy but with fashion retribution?

Thus began their scheme. Launch across the web- sell yourself as trendy and fashion forward and then inflict your brand of boxy, boob-denying t-shirts on helpless sellers, unaware that by simple making a tab that says "womens XL" you will subject your purchaser to the frustration that arises once the rockin, kick-ass t-shirt is pulled from the box and worn. It won't seem like much at first, the shirt FITS after all. It's a sneak attack on the titties, really, a "why exactly is this shirt kind of stuck in my arm pits a little? What is that strange pull right to the left and oh, yes, to the right of my MurderTank™? Waist looks ok, neckline is a little boob-denying sure but DOH! American Apparel has struck again!"

Dear AA designers, I wish you would get some therapy! Boobs are great! They ain't called "fun bags" for nothing! When they move a little, when they aren't encased in cotton constraints masquerading as fashion t-shirts, it's even better! And there are nipples! I mean, what is better than a nipple, really?

Well, my love of the MurderTank™ far outweighs my anger at the therapy-less AA shirt designers, so here I sit, and I must say, MurderTank™ stretching a tad across a pair of DDs isn't exactly a bad thing. Ah well, my love for pajiba knows no bounds, so there ya go.

Posted by: lilianna28 at August 14, 2008 10:01 AM

Ok, so I'm really happy to hear that people are getting their Pajiba shirts, which means that mine should arrive any day now, BUT I'm totally jealous that mine hasn't arrived yet!!!

Posted by: tamatha at August 14, 2008 11:57 AM

Henceforth, any reference to the pulsating pustule that is Dane Cock must be accompanied by his most reviled movie poster, of which I think is an incredible likeness.

So say we all.

Thank you for filling in the blank, Jay. Posting the link didn't occur to me until I was already curled up in bed reading and I was disinclined to move.

lilianna28 i feel your pain. trying to squeeze my Hs into anything from AA sucks. i still really, really, want a shirt though. i just need to figure out how to make it work without the fabric stresslines distorting the Murdertank--Godtopus' eye would be to wonky to work no matter what.

Posted by: pq at August 14, 2008 2:17 PM

H? Christ, I'll stop bitchin'. If I had to do it over, I'd go mens.

I did not even THINK about Godtopus's big ole' eye sitting right there in the cleavage. Interesting and icky all at once.
