A former Bush aide is suing over the idea for Swing Vote, a film which, despite an eloquently flattering review by our own John Williams, still kind of sounds like a… You know, “piece of crap.” (WIMB)

If this guy who called 911 on the Subway ever decides to take his case to court, I bet I know the perfect guy to fight his case. (QuizLaw)

Through a brand new scientific technique, scientists were able to come up with a computer generated image of what Jenna Jameson’s baby will look like. (YBNBY)

Are the 2008 Olympics being used as a way to sneakily bring communism into the mainstream? Like we don’t have enough freaking problems. (H/T, Chez!) (HuffPo)

On the subject of the Olympics, Playboy has decided to pay a not-demeaning-whatsoever tribute to our female athletes. (Yeeeah!)

I had better be first, because I had just clicked on the old Bugertime link and was about to go back and watch Triumph when it was updated. Damn you.

Okay, seriously...raise your hand if you thought Playboy had any dignity and shame. Now shoot yourself. For still reading Playboy.

Mmmm...Whitney....hot and geeky and smart...wait, is she a Pajilady? Danica? Can I have you as a birthday present?

Listen up, Spambot: I am willing to tolerate you pimping your sad wares all over these fine intertubenets, and I am willing to patiently await the Spambot Apocalypse (which will redefine illiteracy and harvest our meatsacks to make blood grease), but if you don't knock it off with that goddamn LOL bullshit right fucking now, so help me I will recycle your robot ass and you will end up as the frame in some little girl's Hannah Montana play tent. Is that what you want?

Posted by: Sarina at August 8, 2008 3:54 PM

OMG, Sarina...that's sooooo funny!!!!1!!1

LOL, LMAO, ROFLMAO, PLMGO...

Oh, and Spambot, do not mess with Sarina. She is not kidding. And that lady is mean with a capital m.

This has jack shit to do with crap...

"Beer For My Horses is a rough-ridin', beer-swillin', sheriff-dodgin', trouble-chasin', good ol' boys comedy-adventure written by and co-starring superstar Toby Keith and popular comedian/recording artist Rodney Carrington. Inspired by Keith's #1 hit song, "Beer For My Horses," the fun-filled action-adventure careens onto the open road with two buddies - Rack (KEITH) and Lonnie (CARRINGTON) - who have quietly been pursuing justice as deputies in a small Southern town. But when Rack's irresistible girlfriend (CLAIRE FORLANI) is kidnapped by a particularly nasty drug lord (CARLOS SANZ) as revenge for the arrest of his brother Tito (GREG SERANO), the duo decide to defy their boss, Sheriff Landry (TOM SKERRIT), and chase them down . . . by any means necessary. Rounding up the town's most off-beat lawman - Skunk Tarver (rock legend TED NUGENT), a defiantly silent man who chooses to use a bow n' arrow instead of a gun - they take off on a rip-roaring road trip with all the makings of a rollicking comic joyride that's not afraid to go over the top. Beer For My Horses is produced by Toby Keith and Donald Zuckerman and is executive produced by TK Kimbrell Jeff Yapp and Leslie Belzberg. The director of the movie is Michael Salomon. Keith, Carrington, Forlani, Skerrit, Nugent, and Serano approached the film in classic road comedy style - letting loose and adding a wild unpredictability to the film's outrageous stunts. Rounding out the eclectic group of actors taking on the film's uproariously eccentric characters are cameos by Barry Corbin (No Country For Old Men), country legend Willie Nelson and country music outlaw David Allan Coe."

SUH-WEET! Say, I'm gonna go out to my car hole and drive tent stakes into my eyes so I can NEVER see this. Anybody wanna join me?

I'm already there and waiting, Skitt

Rounding up the town's most off-beat lawman - Skunk Tarver (rock legend TED NUGENT), a defiantly silent man who chooses to use a bow n' arrow instead of a gun...

Oh great and powerful Godtopus...WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME!

Posted by: jM at August 8, 2008 4:24 PM

Is Godtopus dead, slain by an arrow?

Curse this cruel world.

Posted by: TK at August 8, 2008 4:27 PM

Does that review say TK is an exec producer?

Posted by: Three-nineteen at August 8, 2008 4:31 PM

Skitt Oh my fucking Godtopus. That is terrible. It is terrible, horrible, no good, and very bad. If you can't find your tent stakes, I have some railroad spikes--they're good and rusty, so should more than do the trick.

Posted by: tamatha at August 8, 2008 4:32 PM

Thank you, Skitt, for proving that God is dead. EVERYBODY PANIC!

Posted by: Jeremy at August 8, 2008 4:34 PM

Are you saying TED NUGENT KILLED THE GODTOPUS?

Posted by: Three-nineteen at August 8, 2008 4:38 PM

For as it was foretold, so hath it come to pass. That the mighty godtopus was slain by the black arrow of the Toothless Hillbilly of the Apocalypse. And the firmament was torn asunder, and the Pajibans gnashed their teeth, fully pronouncing the "g," and wrent their garments with quaking fingers. And darkness took the land.

And on the seventh day of the seventh week, godtopus arose from the dead, jizzing the Ink of the Heavens into the horrible anus of the Toothless Hillbilly. And godtopus ascended into the heavens and shook the foundations of the firmament, and It (godtopus of course) looked down upon the Earth with its great Eye.

With four of Its mighty tentacles it chose the weak and the stupid from among Men, choking their wind as they looked upon Miley Cyrus with drool-caked lips and slack jaws, and the godtopus drew out their lives and damned them from the firmament. And with Its (the godtopus of course) other mighty tentacles, it rained the Glory of godtopus on the machines, smiting the Toasters as they marched upon the Kingdom of Men and preserving the Children of the godtopus forever and ever.

So say we all. Amen.

Posted by: socalledonlycousins at August 8, 2008 5:00 PM

Yes, because the National Enquirer has such a reputation for being correct about the things celebrities do.

Too bad Brendan Frasier can't return those hideous hairplugs.

Posted by: june at August 8, 2008 5:01 PM

Amen. Praise to the mighty Godtopus.

Posted by: Shadows of Dakaron at August 8, 2008 5:05 PM

So we only have to wait until September 26th? Woo-hoo! I'm marking my calendar. My Godtopus T-shirt better show up by then. Wearing that should be like putting lamb's blood on the door.

Posted by: Three-nineteen at August 8, 2008 5:10 PM

The notoriously affable Brendan Fraser might actually be kind of a cheap asshole after all!

It's time to lay off the Fraze, haters!

Posted by: QueBarbara at August 8, 2008 11:04 PM

Oy! Jay and Nicole and all the rest of you Dr. Who-lovin' types! Get thee to BBC for a bunch of free Dr. Who eBooks!

And uhhh...sorry to everybody else for hijacking this thread.

Posted by: Sarina at August 8, 2008 11:34 PM

That HuffPo article had nothing to do with communism. Communism is an economic system, totally unconnected to authoritarianism, which the article is about. In fact, accepting China's injustices is bringing FASCISM into the mainstream, which is the opposite of communism.

Posted by: Meredith at August 8, 2008 11:58 PM

Sarina, I love thee for all of your comments in this thread. In fact, I kind of want to be you when I grow up.

Posted by: Nicole at August 9, 2008 6:18 AM

Praised be the great and powerful Godtopus! On a side note, does anyone think we should have sacraments? I know I grew up with wine and host, so would the logical answer be whiskey and calamari? Oh, wait, that's squid, not octopus... Hmmm, any ideas?

Posted by: Jeremy at August 9, 2008 8:48 AM

blah blah godtopus blah blah. It's not funny anymore, if it ever was.

As already pointed out, that Fraser story is from the National Enquirer. Meaning bullshit. Meaning Pajiba Love has turned into the same shitty celeb rumor mill that the "sophisticates" of this site claim to hate. Nice one, Stacy. Try harder in the future to find something worth actual attention. Christ, this site fails hard.

Posted by: markus at August 9, 2008 10:06 AM

^^ looks like somebody had their Scorn Flakes today....

Posted by: Anna von Beaverplatz at August 9, 2008 10:19 AM

blah blah godtopus blah blah. It's not funny anymore, if it ever was.

Then you just better close your eyes when you read that part from now on, because it ain't going anywhere.

Christ, this site fails hard.

So it's safe to say we won't be seeing you anymore? Because you couldn't possibly be so ridiculous as to continue hanging around such losers and retards. Also, you smell like soup.

People who insist on reading and commenting on things they don't like? Godtopus has a name for them, but no one ever learns it because the Murdertank wipes them out before it's handed down.

Also: Taco dip! Scrabble sex!

Looks like the webmaster from FailBlog.org made a visit to this lovely thread.

Mr.GrumpyDick should relax. I wonder if he's heard of Xanax. I am willing to drug him into compliant submission for Pajiba Love.

"Taco dip" sounds dirty.

And probably is.

What the...Bernie Mac died? Aww, that's sad; the guy was only 50, for pete's sake. He was a pretty funny dude, and seemed like one of the "nice guys."

*sigh* One less funny person in our depressing world.

Posted by: MO(meaux) at August 9, 2008 1:22 PM

I know, MO!
I have the guilty pleasure of perusing TMZ, and found out earlier this morning about his demise.

Not a fan of his work, really, but he at least seemed normal by Hollywood standards.

Posted by: popejenn at August 9, 2008 1:41 PM

just found out about it now. that's actually really sad. i wasn't a huge fan of his films, but i always thought he was funny in ocean's 11, 12 and 13 (i mean, not so much the last two). he seemed like a nice, down to earth, kind of guy.
