Excellent post all around. I think I've watched that Bud commercial a few dozen times in the past few days, and it's funny every time.

You never know, the Mars bars could help. Flying a plane with a banner apparently helped get S2, plus irritating people is always a huge bonus in most activities.

litely, you CAN'T POSSIBLY have not not seen "Do the Right Thing"! I'm not even a huge Spike Lee fan, but you must see it, at a minimum as a cultural event/experience. I'm always suspicious of the whole "important film" theory, but it applies to this movie.

Well, I hate it when people are all like, "OMG, WTF, ROTFL, how could you not be totally into film/album/book/whatever?" But my Black Friend just asked how could you not be totally into that film?

Seriously, that film can change the way one perceives race relations and one's own little life raft in the racial cross-currents. It's a totally cool movie, even though your skin may crawl a little at times -- there's gnarly montage of people spewing racial slurs, like a psych experiment.

Dear Litelysalted --

It has come to my attention that you sneaked in a link to AICN today. Clearly you didn't read the Pajiba Handbook, specifically Rule 5.8, which states unequivocally that any and all links to AICN are forbidden. Rule 5.8.1 stipulates that the punishment is "one hour within breathing distance of Harry Knowles so that you might feel his Dorito-and-Red-Bull breath tickle the back of your neck."

Because it was a "Veronica Mars" link, however, such punishment will appropriately be cut in half.

Heh, I was a bit confused about the second to last link until I finally heard about she-who-must-not-be-named. Christ, "released due to medical concerns," my foot. Or, transferred to house arrest. Just stick her in the prison infirmary if there is one. If not, transfer her to a prison where there is one! What sort of example do they honestly expect they're setting with this? Seriously.
