Pajiba Love

Now, c’mon ladies: Who among you wouldn’t want Vincent Gallo as your baby daddy? (Agent Bedhead)

Transformers has a couple of new TV spots up. I know some of you care. But, it’s a mystery to me as to why. It’s Bruckheimer, you know? And toys. (Popoholic)

Which drunk is dumber? This one? Or this one? (QuizLaw)

How does the question of race play into feminism? (Feministing)

Aha! Best Week Ever begrudgingly confesses to kind of sort of liking Zach Braff sometimes. (BWE)

Well, we definitely know who Hayden Panettiere is not, now. (IDLYITW)

God bless The Bastardly: They play hot-or-not with Whitney Matheson (cute) and then decry the prostitution ads that have been inadvertently popping up on their site. A blog has to draw a moral line. And it’s somewhere between hookers and little people. (The Bastardly)

All right — the X-Files movie is back on, with Gillian Anderson. For reals. (Fatback)

Giddyup folks: They Might Be Giants will release their first album in three years this July. I hope it’s better than that McSweeney’s disc. (Billboard)

From the desk of the TV Whore: NBC has renewed “30 Rock” for next year! (NBC UMV) And While there’s no word on “Friday Night Lights” yet, the show did just win a Peabody Award, which is a nice boost which may help it find a second season. (Peabody)

A few of you mentioned Ben Folds’ Bitches Ain’t Shit in light of yesterday’s Alanis’ version of My Humps. Well, it ain’t a music video, but this live performance is goose-pimply sublime. After the jump.

If only I had a dollar for every time I thought of gettin' it on with Vincent Gallo. I would use the money to buy antacids and barf bags.

Posted by: anikitty at April 4, 2007 5:09 PM

Um, I'm gonna see the Transformer movie. I'm down for some mindless entertainment afterall. And who the heck didn't have a Transformers toy when they first came out and were die cast metal? Huh?! I thought so......What, just me? Crap.

Good to hear that Serenity beat Suck Wars, too. Who wanted to see River Tam get it on with Zoe?? Just me again? ....Damn!

People used to tell my mom that she shouldn't indulge my love for transformers. After all, they're toys for BOYS. I guess they thought it would turn me gay or something. However, if Vincent Gallo was the only man left on earth, I would certainly find a "loophole" as they said on 3rd Rock From The Sun, because I think I got crabs just from looking at his picture.

And was I the only one who put some of my transformers in the back of the A-Team van and let them join forces? Yes? Okay, well, then the rest of you missed out on a lot of fun. The A-Team + Transformers meant that C.O.B.R.A. went down every time. And if Han Solo was so inclined, sometimes the Millennium Falcon would come along and help them out. I pity da foo!

Lastly-Hayden isn't Lindsey. Not yet. If she keeps hanging out with Paris, though, she could become her very soon.

Before any Friday Night Lights fans break open the champagne, I would remind them that Deadwood also won a Peabody and it still got cancelled.

Ugh, Vincent Gallo is gross, and the Brown Bunny was quite possibly (oh, what am I saying, it WAS) the worst movie I've ever seen. Pretenciousness run amok. At least I watched it with fun people though. We had a grand old time predicting when he was finally gonna get blown.

Posted by: Matt B at April 4, 2007 6:53 PM

Trust me, Manny. It ain't just you. For both of those, but especially the River/Zoe love.

And while so many commenters on IDLYITW were whining about how stuck up Hayden seemed to not want to be called Lindsay, how come no one called out the dumbass who screamed it out? Was that supposed to be funny, or did she honestly not see it wasn't Lohan? It isn't like they are that easily mistakable. Basically, if her Mimzy isn't showing or you don't feeling the BAD burning in your crotch when you look at her, it ain't Lindsay.

And is she still hanging out with Paris? I thought that was just a fluke and she stopped that foolishness once the show got bigger. I know I haven't seen them out together anymore.

Posted by: Vermillion at April 4, 2007 7:01 PM

She was seen maybe a month or two ago posing with Paris, but you're right, Vermillion. She isn't actively hanging with her at the mo', and that's a good thing. I like her. She's cute, she's an EXCELLENT actress, and I think that she shows potential, if she manages to keep her nose clean, so to speak. Or at least if she just manages to keep her panties on...

I have wondered about the person shouting at her as though she were Lindsey, and it is in very bad taste. I personally don't think that she was stuck up for telling them to not call her that. It's not her name, it's not who she is, and its an image that she seems to be trying to not associate herself with. I hope she keeps it up.

My Blue Lion was a bit subversive, and would always take out Optimus Prime, much to my brother's dismay. And Leia kicked serious Cobra ass.

Vincent Gallo scares me. I really believe he is not of this world. Get away, Vincent, shoo!

I recently watched the animated Transformers movie from the mid-80s. Doesn't hold up too well after time, with the awesomely bad rock songs that played during most of the move. But damn if there wasn't a pang of sadness after Optimus Prime's demise. My brother always got mad when I stole his Transformer toys. Hee. Good times. I was such a mean little sister.

As for the live action movie - I can't say I'm really interested. I mean, isn't Josh Duhamel in it? Doesn't exactly bode well. Maybe if he was half-naked most of the time, it might pique my interest. He's a bit too metrosexual for my taste, and has nothing on Gerard Butler, my man of choice at the moment (well okay, I've been crushing for a couple of years now).

Thanks for the video, that is AWESOME. I'd never seen that clip - the audience could not possibly be whiter, could it?

Apropos of nothing, I know the guy who was drumming for him there - he's married to one of my best friends. His accent makes that song even more hilarious.

That Gallo "merch" has been on his site for no less than two years now, and yet not a week goes by where someone doesn't discover it on all our behalf. That and the Universal Life Church. Moving on...

Posted by: Mitch Clem at April 4, 2007 11:44 PM

Maybe not River/Zoe.. but where's the Mal/Simon love?

..no one?

...well, okay. I'll just watch the video and then get kind of gleeful by the fact that I get to meet Miss Inara herself in a month.

Posted by: Mara at April 5, 2007 12:29 AM

Mara--you are correct--our ability to purchase Gallo's sperm is old news. But I somehow manage to block it out every time I read it. So each time someone points it out, I get a nauseous all over again. Really, it's a gift that keeps giving.

Author's Note: Ha. I noticed after this published, in fact, that I linked to it last time Agent Bedhead discovered it a few months ago. It's a vicious cycle of forgettable Gallo semen.

The X-Files II?
Oh.My.God.
Need more info pleazzzee.

Posted by: Agent Scully at April 5, 2007 9:37 AM

Yep - that's why I called the post an "update" - sooner or later, Vincent Gallo will respond to my pleas for a sperm discount.

YESSSS!!!!

I don't know how I missed that part about TMBG yesterday. Despite mixed reviews, I really liked The Spine... So I have hope for The Else.

Someone should tell Willem Dafoe that there is a guy ripping off his character from Boondock Saints. I don't think he would appreciate that.
