Pajiba Love

Fuck Bill O’Reilly. (College Humor)

Rose McGowan: Homewrecker. (Celebitchy)

There’s some “choose your own adventure” goodness at QuizLaw today. (QuizLaw)

And somehow QuizLaw missed the part about Justice Stephens calling George Bush a candy-ass in its summary of Massachusetts v. EPA. Junkiness has got it covered. (Junkiness)

Undeniable video evidence that Kate Moss and Pete Doherty’s love life is not unlike the rest of ours. (Yeeeah!)

It’s spring break. For lesbians. (NYTimes)

The winner of the 2007 Pajiba NCAA bracket (by virtue of a tiebreaker) is “I Love You But I’ve Chosen NCAA,” who didn’t publish his/her email. Congratulations, “BadMightyWhitey.” Now, email me and I’ll send your winnings. D-Coy — a T-shirt to you, too, if you email. Oh, and the Gators won the championship. (Slate)

If you didn’t think it was possible to like a Black Eyed Peas song, think again: Alanis Morissette turns “My Humps,” into a beautiful, elegiac ballad. It’s brilliant. After the jump.

Lesbian Spring break

'"It's a lesbian rite of passage," agreed Julie Bolcer, the news director of Go!, a national lesbian magazine, who came to the party. '

....I thought that was what a date with Dustin Rowles was called?

The role of Will.i.am was played by Dave Coulier.

OMG! That was just outstanding!

Posted by: Sam at April 3, 2007 4:12 PM

Hey, I think I came in 10th place! Not bad...Go Gators!!!

I thought Ben Folds had reached the apex of ironic humor when he covered "Bitches Ain't Shit."

But Ben didn't have a music video. Well done, Alanis. Well done, indeed.

Feministing scooped you on both the Alanis video and Lesbian Spring break. That or Dustin is a daily visitor of Feministing, which makes me a little hot.

The video almost makes me not want to kill Fergie for the existence of that song. However, she's still got a lot to answer for with "London Bridge".

Posted by: Genny at April 3, 2007 4:25 PM

Ewwww ... "London Bridge."

Posted by: Tim at April 3, 2007 4:38 PM

In the video for London Bridge she is stood in front of Tower Bridge as well. We should try and sell it to her.

Posted by: nevin at April 3, 2007 4:41 PM

Genny, there is never a time when I won't want to kill Fergie. She's atrocious, a black eye on the face of music, women and society as a whole.

I actually can't stand Alanis, but that wasn't bad. I can appreciate it. It ranks up there with the Ben Folds cover and the Gourds doing Gin and Juice (which is the gold standard).

I cannot get enough of that Alanis video; I'd forgotten how much I can love her. The Black Eyed Peas version of that song is easily the Worst Song Ever; it is much much improved by having Alanis beat on the asshole who keeps grabbing at her. (Not to mention that Alanis sounds really gorgeous here.) I'm also mesmerized by the guys in this video; how they manage not to crack up is beyond me.

Oh, man. That has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Oh, Alanis.

Posted by: vic at April 3, 2007 8:45 PM

And people thought Kevin Smith was crazy for casting her as God.

Posted by: Tammy at April 4, 2007 12:05 AM

Alanis actually makes "My Humps" sound beautiful, which is a feat in itself. And her spoof of Fergie's dress--awesome!

Posted by: bonnie at April 4, 2007 1:19 AM

I can't help but feel that in this, Ms. Morrisette comes closer to irony than she ever did with "Ironic." Snaps, Alanis, snaps. She does, however, still have to answer for prompting an entire generation to think that, say, meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful wife is ironic.

Posted by: Liz at April 4, 2007 9:52 AM

One, the Alanis video was hilarious. Especially when she is crying during the 'drama' part. And the background dancers were hilarious. Also, for some reason, Alanis looked beter to me in those outfits that Fergie did. Her mock bootyshaking didn't hurt me either.

Two, fuck Bill O'Reilly INDEED.

Three, an entire city filled with attractive women who would rather be with each other than give me the time of day? Sounds eerily familiar.....oh, right, that is pretty much every city I have ever been in.

Posted by: Vermillion at April 4, 2007 10:54 AM

OK--newfound respect for Alanis, who's obviously been reading her Dryden.

While I don't listen to Snoop's music I have always liked him. Now I think I am in love with him for finally saying so eloquently what I have thought of B.O. for years.

B.O. could suck my dick too..if I had one.

Posted by: wsapnin at April 4, 2007 1:36 PM

Oh my god. I fucking love Snoop.
