Why would anybody be surprised that the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People would give their Image Award to Isaiah Washington? Did you not realize that one of the reasons Bush won the last election was because of the virulent homophobia that pervades 75% of Black America? They HATE gay people and wanted to ensure that DOMA become the next amendment to the US Constitution. Of course the joke is now on them because the Bush Adminstration is (finally) beginning to go down in flames! LOL: suckers!!

Matt, please - don't act like homophobia is prominent only in the black community. And given that 80% plus of the US population is white (or at least identifies themselves as such), Bush's re-election hardly falls on the shoulders of black folk.

I, Vermillion,.....actually LIKE Ben Affleck. I have from the beginning. In my opinion, his only crimes were Bennifer I (which wasn't all his fault, mostly the prototype media that now inundates us with celeb doings) and that face.

Ben Affleck has what the Germans call Backpfeifengesicht, which is a face that's just begging for someone to put their fist in it. Taking one look at him, without knowing anything about, will cause involuntary muscle spasms that will cause you to punch him dead in his smarmy-looking mouth.

He truly does not deserve your scorn, but instead your pity.

You tell that matt guy off, Daphne. Also, didn't a significant number of black people vote AGAINST Bush in both elections, despite this supposed overwhelming acceptance of DOMA? Just because the NAACP is filled with a bunch of hypocrites who would rather award a petulant bigot (not to mention the R. Kelly bullcrap), doesn't mean suddenly black people have to be against homosexuals. Stop getting your political discourse from BET, please.
