"Celebrity Apprentice" About to Get More "Awesome"

I’ve never watched any “Celebrity Apprentice” before, because, gag — but this season looks like it’s shaping up to be a beautiful trainwreck. Although I don’t know how I’ll get used to seeing Bret Michaels without his usual gaggle of skanks. (Celebitchy)

Some moderately talented put together a website Photoshopping Nicolas Cage’s face onto a bunch of different faces. Because Nic Cage humor never, ever gets old. (NicolasCageIsEveryone)

Oh Jesus, Tila Tequila’s supposed “fiancee” and heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, Casey Johnson, was found dead in her apartment. I don’t want to say Tila Tequila had something to do with it, but … Tila Tequila probably had something to do with it. (Litelysalted)

The newest “trend” as universities across the country are college classes on “The Wire.” Oh, “The Wire,” someday I will watch you. (Warming Glow)

Just to summarize, Julie Benz’s television career trajectory: From “Buffy” to “Angel”to “Dexter” to … “Desperate Housewives.” *simulates plane going down noises* (Unreality)

Vanity Fair put together a cover story expose on Tiger Woods and just for the ladies, paired it with a never-before-seen shirtless photograph. Yow! (Yeeeah!)

McDonald’s have released their own take on the Starbucks’ Frappuccino, the “McDonald’s Frappe.” Or as I like to call it, “Coronary in a Cup.” (Impulsive Buy)

The latest word on the Farrelly Brothers inevitable turd of a big screen adaptation of “The Three Stooges” is that Penn is back in, but Carrey is out. (The Playlist)

For no reason whatsoever, here is Alyson Hannigan and her adorable baby girl photographed out having a picnic together. (Agent Bedhead)

Kevin Alejandro of “Southland” and who apparently recurred on “Weeds” only I have no idea who he was and can’t be bothered to IMDB it, is going to be the newest cast member of “True Blood.” (Bloody Disgusting)

Oh, how super cool: Michael Cera is palling around with the cast of “Jersey Shore.” Because it’s ironic, get it? (DListed)

Ann M. Martin and Scholastic are planning to reissue and “revamp” The Babysitters Club series. I don’t know what they mean by revamp per se, but I’m guessing something along the lines of adding references to cell phones and home computers. (Zelda Lily)

Oh, and here’s a quiz about another beloved blast from the past: “The Adventures of Pete and Pete.” (mental floss)

Here are the ten biggest vampire movie fails. Ha ha ha, I totally remember Once Bitten. (Screen Junkies)

Last year I posted a music video-style short that Pajiba commenter Wendy’s brother and his friend put out parodying Twilight, and here is their New Moon sequel. Ehh, I’m pretty indifferent to all the Twilight stuff but, why not, it’s cute enough.

Thanks for posting that Stacey!

You guys might all hate the video but I gotta support the brother anyway I can!

Most of the video was shot in Forks, WA and I just think it's pretty well shot, edited, costumed, and choreographed for some amateur Vegas kids with no training.

That Nic Cage website is brilliant. Some of them are so good I had to look hard just to prove it was a fake.

I care not for many things. Today it snowed, LOTS, we had a snowball fight, and, I AM WEARING A ONESIE

Posted by: Nadine at January 5, 2010 1:20 PM

Stacy did not adequately stress the greatness of that Nic Cage site. Some of those look like they'd just be awesome movies. Him as Oswald Cobblepot? Oh yes.

Posted by: Optimus Rhyme at January 5, 2010 1:20 PM

Yeah, well, when I was in Jr. High...Once Bitten and Love at First Bite were pretty freakin' funny!!!

Of course, so was watching our Social Studies teacher dump a trashcan on a kid's head...

Of the seven people currently in the "Jersey Shore" house, I'd sooner hangout with four of them than spend 20 minutes with Michael Cera. If JWowwwwww promised me sex, that number bumps up to five.

The vampire movie fail list has one glaring omission: Embrace Of The Vampire. Quite possibly the finest actressin' of Alyssa Milano's career. Also, quite possibly the finest acting of her boobies' career.

Posted by: admin at January 5, 2010 1:27 PM

I'm not sure how I feel about the Nic Cage site. While it is certainly amusing, that's a lot of sacrilege. Even for a heathen like me.

Posted by: admin at January 5, 2010 1:32 PM

Cyndi Lauper, nooooooo! You ARE better than this! You were my idol as a young girl! And now you're on the same show with that sleazy governor? Breaks the heart.

I'm terrified of anything Nic Cage related because last night I dreamed I was getting married and since the groom couldn't be at the rehearsal dinner, Nic Cage in full Sorcerer's Apprentice Mode stood in for him. Luckily I was aware it was a dream and kept thinking, "WTF is he doing here? I saw that trailer weeks ago and never thought about it since. Why couldn't half naked Booth from the episode of Bones that I just watched again be here? Stupid brain!"

I will never, ever look at the wicked witch of the west the same way again

Posted by: Even Stevens at January 5, 2010 1:41 PM

I will always love the Adventures of Pete & Pete. Long live Pentunia!!

Posted by: letsspoon at January 5, 2010 1:43 PM

Ann M. Martin, I will fucking cut you if you fuck with the BSC again. I had a hard enough time dealing with the "graphic novels".

Although, if you were to publish a new book that was just descriptions of various Claudia Kishi outfits, I would buy several copies.

Posted by: vikky at January 5, 2010 1:46 PM

12/15 on the Pete & Pete quiz. I'm proud.

They're redoing the Babysitters Club? The movie was complete shit and the series stopped being relevant years ago. Worse off, she wants to base it in the past? They already did that in the books. Why not just do a book focusing on the futures of the characters?

Yes, I read the majority of the series. Stop laughing.

Posted by: Brie at January 5, 2010 1:48 PM

So many to choose from. Nic Cage as Amy Winehouse? Nic Cage as Holly Golightly? Nic Cage as Darth Vader?

Posted by: branded at January 5, 2010 1:49 PM

Cyndi Lauper, nooooooo! You ARE better than this! You were my idol as a young girl! And now you're on the same show with that sleazy governor? Breaks the heart.

I have a feeling, much like Joan Rivers last season, Cyndi Lauper is only doing the show for the sake of her charity. It seems like something she would do. I can only hope she gets to use her acting training from her stint in the WWF to take a ho down. Sharon Osborne fighting Cyndi Lauper? I buy that.

Are there still any ladies left out there who haven't seen Tiger Woods shirtless...you know...in the morning?

Posted by: laredo at January 5, 2010 1:50 PM

The failed vampire movie list should remove John Carpenter's Vampires and put in something like BloodRayne or Dracula 2000. Why? Because James Woods was in the Vampires and 20% of James Woods makes everything 75% better.

Cera with the Jersey Whores? Guess he found people he can feel more successful than!

Posted by: Fredo at January 5, 2010 1:54 PM

While i admit that those vampire movies did fail on some level, a few of them have some legitimate camp value. Once Bitten was pretty hilarious before I knew that was Jim Carrey. And I agree with Admin. Where they hell is Embrace of the Vampire? That movie failed harder than a teenage girl writting poetry to Robert Pattinson.

Will someone please photoshop Nic Cage's face into a picture of Prisco? Or Dustin? Or me?

Posted by: Bizarro Sofía at January 5, 2010 2:11 PM

I just wanted to throw some love Julie Benz' way. She is all sorts of delicious and quite a fine actress, to boot. She and Kelly Rutherford will always have a place in my heart. I guess I'm a softie for patrician ice-queen beauties who tart it up. Sigh.

Posted by: welldressed at January 5, 2010 2:17 PM

@ vikky

You should search "Claudia's Room". Its a blog by a woman re-reading the books as an adult with awesome commentary. There's always at least one bullet point regarding Claudia's outfits for any given book. It is happiness.

Posted by: CinnabarriGirl at January 5, 2010 2:30 PM

dammitjanet, I will back you right the eff up. Once Bitten is freakin' hilarious. AND I'm backing up Fredo with the James Woods love on John Carpenter's Vampires WHICH by the way is ALSO hilarious, though I think less intentionally so.

Somebody please, for the love of all that is good and holy, get Replica on the horn!

Posted by: Anna von Beaverpuppet at January 5, 2010 2:32 PM

laredo: I didn't let that bitch stay the night. I told him to put his damn clothes back on and get outta my pad when I was done with him. You don't pay rent? you don't sleep here!

Posted by: Lindsey with an 'e' at January 5, 2010 2:37 PM

Ok, I give up...who's the chick in the header? Is that Lindsay Lohan? Paris Hilton? Amanda Bynes before the makeup?

Posted by: Doctor Controversy at January 5, 2010 2:42 PM

No need to investigate anything just go and arrest the Tequila skank and execute her ass with tazers for murder.

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at January 5, 2010 2:50 PM

Oh Bret Michaels how do I count the ways I Love Thee! The wig, the bandanas, the eyeliner, the fact that nothing, Nothing (short of, maybe, a girl taking a tequila shot up the vag, yes you read that right a girl poured a shot of tequila shot into her female business) can turn him off a woman. I want there to be a show of just a collection of his random commentaries 'When Brandi C looked at me as she was throwing up and I was holding her hair, and she said she loved me....I knew she meant it. That was real romance dude' Even though the next day Brandi C later retracted her statement blaming it on the copious amounts of alcohol she had consumed.

Where would we be without crappy vampire films? They provide endless hours of mockery.

Robert, that's a comforting thought--thank you.

Posted by: DeadBessie at January 5, 2010 3:06 PM

I think the Babysitter's Club should add vampires. That will get the kiddies to read it.

Posted by: wsapnin at January 5, 2010 3:12 PM

Fuck that bullshit. "Once Bitten" was awesome. It defined my sexuality until I was 23.

I don't want to talk about it.

Posted by: superasente at January 5, 2010 5:30 PM

Last night, my best friend asked me (while I was abusing the newest set of Real World roommates) what, if any, reality show I would ever consider being on...

My answer, no hesitation, was Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.

Not because I like Bret, but because his shows are the most amazing live theater I have ever seen. I would just love to sit on the couch during the "Introduction Day" and watch everyone around me. I don't even want to meet Bret...I just want to watch the interpretive dance of the human condition that is those "ladies" sizing each other up and jockey-ing for position...without knowing one iota about the person they are fighting for.

My quest to learn more about the unbelievable characters on Rock of Love is what lead me to VH1 Blog...which lead me to Rich at fourfour...which lead me here.

So, thanks, Bret. If not for you ridiculous hair extensions and your ridiculous skanks, I would not have the fun and laughter that is Pajiba.

Ok, I give up...who's the chick in the header? Is that Lindsay Lohan? Paris Hilton? Amanda Bynes before the makeup?

I think it's Fergie.
Or Janice from Electric Mayhem.

Posted by: Brie at January 5, 2010 5:43 PM

I just want to know what's under his doorag up there? Baldness? A small gnome? It's bugging me.

Posted by: Snuggiepants the Deathbringer at January 5, 2010 6:22 PM

It's his weave. It's sad that I know that.

Posted by: wsapnin at January 5, 2010 8:58 PM

OK, people, let's focus on what's really important here:
MORE BABY-SITTERS CLUB!
I squee'ed, I really did. I have the original POSTCARDS. I buy a BSC book every time I get dragged to the Salvation Army store (better than chipped crockery, I tell you). I fucking loved these books - and if they're over 200 pages, you can bet your sweet ass I'll read them ALL again for Cannonball Read.

Huzzah!

Posted by: naivehelga at January 5, 2010 10:32 PM

"Ok, I give up...who's the chick in the header?"
I totally misread that as "chicken".
Which made me laugh a lot. Because he looks like a chicken.
