I've never been a huge fan of Katy Perry and her pop music empire. That being said, she sort of melted my heart last week by dueting with a young girl on "The Night Of Too Many Stars." Then she had to dress up as one of the heroes of my youth for Halloween. So, long story short, and against my will, I'm starting to like her. (Uproxx)

You know how the critical world likes to argue that more and more these days the very best artistic entertainment can be found on television rather than in the movie theater? Well, don't you fret, Nicholas Sparks is trying his hand at television with three new shows. Way! Mawkish mediocrity for everyone! (THR)

New episodes of "Downton Abbey" will premiere in the states on Sunday, January 6th. To tide you over through the holidays, GQ has a spread of the men of Season 3 including my new favorite character, Stretched Out Landry. And, okay, I finally get the Matthew thing. (T&L)

How are you East Coast types holding up? Well I hope! According to my fav "Sons Of Anarchy" actor, Theo Rossi, things are a lot more dire in the New York than the media is painting it. I don't know about you, but I always look to "Sons Of Anarchy" actors for the most up-to-date and accurate news. That being said, this pictorial article on the flooded New York City subway speaks a thousand words. Finally, I know many of you found Pajiba in the first place via "Television Without Pity." One of their co-founders, my beloved Sarah Bunting, has written a rather persuasive article on why the New York marathon should be cancelled. (NPR)

The Burton family went to Disnelyand for Halloween and, aw, come on, they're pretty cute. (Vulture)

Great description of the plot of The Wizard of Oz or greatest description of the plot of The Wizard Of Oz. (The Reelist)

Many of you piped up yesterday that you were watching "Arrow" on the CW. Muy interesante. I have to admit, after that Barrowman news and this first glimpse at their new kick-*ss female character, I'm intrigued. (TMS)

As Unreality mentions, The Rock is possibly the only one who could pull off this costume. (Unreality)

Finally, Kate Nash and friends reenacted the "Buffy" musical for a Halloween show. I hope they do this every year. via The AV Club
