‘Tis the season for tracing the lineage of all the tacky messes of BeyoncĂ©’s career. We begin with bedazzled belts that misspell “Bootylicious.” (GFY)

Jena Malone talked about being temporarily homeless as a child. She called it “glorious.” I think that word choice tells us more about Jena Malone than 100 other interviews. (Celebitchy)

Tom Brokaw has officially made cancer his b*tch. (Uproxx)

Mila Kunis and the Kutch went to a Lakers game. Normally this would just be filed under Breaking News: Pretty People Kiss and Cuddle in Public, but what puts this over the top is that Mila gives GREAT heckle face. (Lainey)

Natalie Portman says that after the Star Wars prequels we don’t speak of, no one would work with her. She says everyone in Hollywood thought she was a terrible actor, which really isn’t fair because EVERYONE looked terrible in those movies. (DListed)

I don’t think the fact that the woman from the Walking 10 Hours in NYC video was a hired actress and not a professional activist or whatever makes that video any less powerful. It does, however, expose a whole bunch of issues with the businessy side of viral videos. As she puts it, “Rob [Bliss, the video’s creator] got his ad revenue, Hollaback got their donations and I got people who wanted to slit my throat.” (Guardian)

This five year old girl has a lot of thoughts on Princess Leia’s slave girl costume. No, of course she doesn’t like the indentured servitude bit but kid’s got a point. That is a good look for Leia. If she’s going to escape, she should at least keep the outfit. (Mary Sue)

I never tire of seeing the Game of Thrones cast being weird in their normal-people clothes. I will also never, ever, in a hundred lifetimes tire of seeing pictures of DJ Hodor. (Unreality)

Something else I’ll never get tired of? The utter awkward unfunniness of sitcoms with their laugh tracks removed. (Phactual)

Emmalita can’t recommend the short story collection Long Walks, Last Flights & Other Strange Journeys by Ken Scholes strongly enough. "The stories are beautifully written and cover the range of emotions. If you read only one story in the collection, read "The Last Flight of the Goddess." It is one of the funniest sad stories and heartbreaking funny stories she’s read. Make 2015 the year that you introduce yourself to Ken Scholes, and sign up for CBR7! (Cannonball Read)

Aww, happy holidays from Litchfield, everyone! Where there are flip flops on every foot and a chicken in every yard.
