In a Reddit AMA, the deliciously whimsiquirkilicious Ellen Page stressed the need for more feminst porn, which is not porn specifically for women, or porn specifically for men, but simply porn that features gender equality, which is something we can all get behind. (The Frisky)

Over on Uproxx, I talked up ten television shows you may have dismissed that are probably much better than you think they are. STOP JUDGING TV BY ITS COMMERCIALS. (Uproxx)

Now you can make your own "Breaking Bad" style name. Awesome. (Showrenity)

Speaking of "Breaking Bad," the show has been credited with inspiring a bathtub/acid murder, which is yet another reason the show should have "do not try this at home" warnings. (WG)

In defending Paula Deen, Glenn Beck compared her plight to that of Martin Luther King, Jr. NO YOU DID NOT. NO. NO. NO. (LA Times)

Sure, it's a rare image these days where Sarah Jessica Parker actually looks great, but check out the always nattily dressed Matthew Broderick. Well played, Ferris. (GFY)

Why hello, Jaret Leto. YOU ARE A TERRIFYING WOMAN. (DListed)

The folks over at FSR have a fun, novel list: 7 Surprisingly Low Budget Effects in Big Budget movies. (FilmSchoolRejects)

Marvel wants to meet with Vin Diesel. Why? (Collider)

If you loved This is the End, there is no guarantee of a sequel, but writer Evan Goldberg has some ideas for one. (Slashfilm)

"Jonah Hill on his critics: 'Whatever, man. Scorsese thinks I'm awesome.'" Hard to argue with that. (Celebitchy)

The Oatmeal has identified, via Venn diagram, where World War Z the book and where World War Z the movie intersect. (Unreality)

Sandra Bullock is amazing, but a 90s fashion icon she was not. (Vulture)

Now this is how you get people to visit a museum. (Thanks, Reba) (YouTube)

Finally, I leave you with this delightful Garfunkel & Oates song about Christian teenagers who avoid having sex via "The Loophole," which was quite popular in my high school. "F**k me in the ass because I love Jesus!"

  • e jerry powell

And immediately after shooting that photo, Terry Richardson roofie-d Leto and sexually assaulted the wig.

  • phofascinating

I'm so glad you're still beating the Southland drum, Dustin. I also won't stop until everyone I know loves it as much as I do.

  • Amanda Cotylo

In regards to your Uproxx article, Dustin. Yes (!) on Suits and YAAAAASSSS (!!!) on Rectify. I was lucky enough to find out that the latter was on demand on my mothers cable package so I watched it and...mind-kabluey. That opening scene where he's about to be reunited with his fam and he's just holding that coke not sure what to do with it...omg. Pitch perfect. Those first six episodes were stunning. Thank you so much for the recommendation, I only heard about the show through reading Pajiba.

  • I've never understood why SJP chooses to surround her eyes with five pounds of black eyeliner. It makes her look so much older and makes her eyes disappear.

This is the kind of useless shit I wonder about when I should be busy ironing work clothes for tomorrow.

  • googergieger

    Ugh.

  • Marvel is planning on offering Vin Diesel the roles of Black Adam and/or Luke Cage, despite The Rock's obvious and demonstrable superiority.

  • BlackRabbit

Vin can have Cage. Adam's a DC property, though, and I doubt a Captain Marvel movie is likely since DC already had a film with superguys flying around punching each other.

  • logan

But if in feminist porn, both are equal, who gets spanked?

  • **I AM** NotTheOne

These are the thoughts that keep me from my rest.

  • **I AM** NotTheOne

I must not have been paying attention in high school.

But people actually think that anal sex doesn't count a sex? I would think that anal sex would be considered worse than vaginal sex by religious types because it's not used for baby making and it's also something "the geighs" do making it more forbidden.

But then I am increasingly baffled by the world in which we live and the supposedly sentient beings who occupy it. So, there's that.

  • Don Juan de Markup

"but simply porn that features gender equality, which is something we can all get behind."......on top of, underneath, across,...

As much as I like Garfunkel and Oates knowing how much fundies like to drone on all day long about sodomy I have a hard time believing that some of the Christian teenagers assume the Biblical proscription of sodomy only applies to homosexual sodomy. Oh well, let's hope they got their Gardasil vaccine before they find out how bad anal warts can get otherwise they'll have to go to a revival meeting and get them cured by a faith healer. "I cast out your warts."

  • scaldinggray

I know people would love to think that "feminist" porn will somehow change things (especially those on tumblr who are certain that their gender nonconformity really sticks it to the man!), but I hate to break it to you, it won't.

Having both men and women being "equal" in porn won't result in Saudi women driving, or girls in the Congo getting sanitary napkins so they can attend school on their periods, or stop the pressure on American women to get plastic surgery, among a host of other things that keep women down as second class citizens.

But why try to fight for all those things when guys will like us if we advocate for porn? And yes, I do realize women watch porn too, which has frankly nothing to do with my point.

  • scaldinggray

I know people will love to think

  • I don't care what anyone says. As a girl growing up in the 90's, I didn't want to be anyone but Sandra Bullock in While You Were Sleeping. FASHION BE DAMNED.

  • John G.

DO NOT react to Glenn Beck. The same goes for Ann Coulter. They feed off our outrage. we must quietly smother them with indifference to their tirades.

  • knifeyspoony

I'm still amazed that Glenn Beck was too toxic for a network that has no problem with giving airtime to Oliver North.

  • becks

I tend to believe that Beck and Coulter are the real life parents of Joffrey Baratheon but I guess I'll have to wait until Martin finishes the story.

  • Maguita NYC

Stop that! You just caused a twinge of sympathy towards Joffrey.

  • John G.

That's perfect! Ewww, are they secretly brother and sister lovers?

  • becks

You've just spoiled the climax that Fox has been building to.

  • John G.

something we can all get behind

I see what you did there

  • WestCoastPat

I'm a big fan of Garfunkel & Oates, but I just found out that my enjoyment has a per song time limit. Somewhere around 3 minutes.

  • BWeaves

Agreed. Their songs go on too long.

  • Sara_Tonin00

I'm whatever on SJP, but she makes an effort and usually looks good, even if it's not your style, per se.

  • BWeaves

That museum / mall thing was great.

  • ,

I slag her all the time, so it's only fair that I say SJP looks moderately attractive in that dress and with her hair like that. I could almost fool myself ... Nah.

Broderick looks too much like one of my best friends for 35 years ever to notice what he has on.

  • Mrs. Julien

She will be so relieved by the damning with faint praise and then the swift upper cut to her jaw.

  • Mel C.

I tend to judge people based on how they interact with Conan O'Brien, and man, Ellen Page was perhaps the blandest guest I've ever seen. Either she's painfully shy or has zero personality.

  • TK
  • dizzylucy

I kind of think she's painfully shy. I vaguely remember her seeming uncomfortable even with Craig Ferguson, who can get just about anyone talking.

  • carrie

this is a vin diagram: http://media.boreme.com/post_m... The diagram on theOatmeal is a venn diagram.

  • Jo 'Mama' Besser

I cackled like a goon over this picture.

  • Jerce

Nicely done; but actually it is a Venn diagram.

    [/grammarnazi]
    [/totallyanalretentiveaboutwriting]

  • Matt C.

But it's about VIN Diesel. It's a joke.

  • Mrs. Julien

I'm so embarrassed for Jerce right now.

  • I gave a pity upvote.

  • becks

You guys are just missing what she was saying. She gets the joke, she's just saying that in the initial comment it should read Venn instead of venn.

  • MichaelEhrgott

Granted the diagram is hilarious but give the guy some credit:

The Iron Giant, Pitch Black, Saving Private Ryan. He also does great voice work for video games.

  • Jezzer

I think the point is that Jonah Hill is becoming a pretentious twatwaffle, and when this is pointed out, responds to it with increased twatwafflery.

  • TherecanbeonlyoneAdmin

Jonah's Chicken and Twatwaffles should be a successful franchise.

  • Maguita NYC

Just remember: You can't spoil good Canadian Maple Syrup on Jonah-Chicken and Twatwaffles. That'd be tacky.

  • AngelenoEwok

He is a Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles regular IRL.

Damnit, now I want Chicken & Waffles.

  • Yeah, I would have a more mature and professional comment, but the combination of Ellen Page talking about equal-opportunity porn and Garfunkel and Oates asking to do anal is just not letting my reptile brain rest today.

    Try again tomorrow.

  • True_Blue

Same here. "...something we can all get BEHIND"? Heh heh heh. Oh well it's Friday afternoon.

  • delle

"Jonah Hill on his critics: ‘Whatever, man. Scorsese thinks I’m awesome.’”

I bet his mother loves him, too.

  • L.O.V.E.

I think I saw that movie.

Its probably for the best that my mother doesn't look like Marisa Tomei

  • Captain D

I've heard Scorsese's mother wasn't that impressed with Jonah Hill. She keeps suggesting that Marty should hang out with that nice Tatum boy instead.

  • BAM

Did he mean Scorcese's mother or Jonah's mother?

  • foolsage

The reference in question was to the critic's mother, I'm pretty sure.
