Get your geek on with this fantastically bitchin' interview with Joss Whedon! (Onion A.V. Club)
And as a bonus -- here's an interview with the dreamy-licious Nathan Fillion! Hooray! (IGN)
"Law & Order" Assistant District Attorney Hottie Hall of Fame! (Slowly Going Bald)
Your ass is going to rehab -- yes, yes, yes. My apologies, that was way too easy. (Yeeeah!)
Publicly mocking Chuck Norris is probably about as good an idea as rolling around naked on a nest of fire ants, slathered in Ben Gay. (QuizLaw)
Early buzz for Parker Posey's new sitcom does not bode well. (Pop Candy)
Gwen Stefani, (also known as "the place where fashion goes to die") peddles shitty, overpriced sneakers that are a blatant rip-off of other shitty, overpriced sneakers. (Celebitchy)
In related news -- Jessica Simpson continues to rip-off 80's flicks and act like a huge ass about it. (IDLYITW)
A little something for the ladies -- let's kick off the weekend early with a heaping dose of McConaugheschlong! (Agent Bedhead)
Need a chocolate fix? After the jump, Tay Zonday performs live on Kimmel! Our boy is all growns up.

GAH!! I love me some Parker Posey, but.....GAH! Those clips were unbearably NOT FUNNY. I HATE laugh tracks, I HATE horrible writing, and there was nothing remotely dark comedy about this (which is where, I personally believe, Parker shines).
GAH!!!
Must...have...midafternoon....mojito.

"McConaugheschlong". Brilliant.
I'm still sniggering. Because I'm four.

I love the fact that nobody clapping along with Chocolate Rain seems to heave any idea where the beat is. Clap...hesitate. Here? OK....clap. Uhhhh....
And speaking of clap, I always new there was some reason for my Matthew McConaghey crush. Dayuuum.

The McConaugheschlong was too good not to share. I definitely made some other ladies, not to mention myself, pretty happy.
No surprise here on the new Parker Posey show. From previous comments on this site you'd think she was something great (and good looking? What?), but I find her to be hit and miss in the things she does. And her real life personna seems to be rather insufferable.

Gack! Parker, Lauren, how can it be?!? After all the wistfully dark moments of comic insight you've provided over the years, this is where you end up?
Are those clips all from the same episode? That was about 5 minutes (6 total with about a minute of repeats) of totally laugh-free footage (well, other than the laugh track -- I think the computer was laughing at them, not with them). It looks and sounds dreadful.

You could get those ugly-ass shoes from any Payless. I'm so sick of Gwen Stefani, and her sellout-hollaback girl-wannabe thug bullshit. Every time I see a No Doubt video I just get depressed.

Agreed. I keep hearing about her indie queen status, but I've never been particularly impressed with her. She's capable and all, but hardly worth calling home about.
Well now, SOMEBODY'S packing. I thought maybe it was just the camera angle coupled along with the creasing of the shorts, but not so much. Or too much, should I say? If Matthew wasn't a little off, I might be turned on. OK, I'm a little turned on anyway, but I'm ashamed because I generally find him unattractive. Dammit, I can't help but wonder - does he know how to work that mamma jamma? If he does, it just might negate the craziness.

Chocolate Rain....indeed. There is no stopping it now. Just let go, stop fighting, and let is wash you away. The audience certainly did.
That interview with Nathan Fillion was great. Especially the part where he says Firefly fans are usually the most reasonable. I don't think he knows that is because 90% of them want to sleep with him.

Oh my God, Amy Winehouse is only 23? She looks so haggard and used. Ew.
Posted by: Cdell at August 9, 2007 8:05 PM
Vermillion: That's true (although I bet the number is closer to 100%) but I don't know if that necessarily makes the fans more reasonable. See: Ackles, Jensen.

Apparently Amy Winehouse lost a lot of weight -- she was substantially heavier at one time -- and the combination of hard living (*whispers* drugs and whiskey) along with severe weight loss down to stick-figure-ness has left her somewhat haggard. Her legs look like broom handles.
Posted by: socalledonlycousins at August 9, 2007 8:22 PM
She was quite a bit heavier (and cuter) about four years ago. She was around a size ten, and she had teeth. Nowadays you could fit her and her rock-head husband into one of my bra cups. You'd never think that she was so young, but that walking pharmacy Lo-thing is younger than me and, um yeah. Anyone else here look that rough at 21?

I have always thought Stefani was one of the worst dressers around. I've, seriously, never liked a thing she's worn.
Posted by: Samantha T at August 10, 2007 7:15 AM
Amy Winehouse looks so busted I feel like giving her my spare change.
Parker Posey had a brief indie moment in the sun... unfortunately it was probably a decade ago. She's been a major disappointment ever since.
Gwen Stefani is so goddamn aggravating she makes my hair hurt.
I refuse to watch the Zonday video. Never again will I enter that house of suffering.

Totally off topic, but where else can I post this?
Is there a review of El Cantante in the works? I have been waiting to hear Pajiba's take on this movie every since I heard it was another JLo-her current significant other pairing! So hate me, I want to read the bitchiness...

In the words of a former co-worker, "You just findin' that out?"
There's no denying that, despite his brain/mouth malfunction, McConahey-hey is teh Grade-A hotness. Right now, if a genie appeared before me offering three wishes, I'd wish for Matty, a ball gag, and three more wishes.

Watched Hot Fuzz on DVD this weekend. Wonderful movie. On the DVD there was a preview for:
White Nosie 2 - a straight to DVD release (here in the staes at least) starring Nathan Fillion. Not sure if this what the linked to interview is about - IGN is blocked here at work.
Forget it Nick... it's Sandford
