Pajiba Love

A friendly reminder, folks: Wilco's new album is out today, and Pitchfork media says, "Sky Blue Sky nakedly exposes the dad-rock gene Wilco has always carried but courageously attempted to disguise." I'm atwitter. (ITunes)

BWE rightfully takes umbrage with BBC America for giving us freakin' "Cash in the Attic," instead of the actual quality shows from Britain. (BWE)

There was a time when Marilyn Manson was kind of cool creepy. Now, he's skeevy creepy. Also: Fornicating with a girl half your age while drenched in blood doesn't make your song suck any less. (IDLYITW)

I Love You so Much I'm Going to Take You behind the Middle School and Get You Pregnant. (QuizLaw)

Compare our Most Bangable Celebrities to Maxim's Hottest 100, featuring she who we cannot name at No. 1, and then shake your head with wonder. (AP)

And here's your first peek at this fall's "Bionic Woman." Ugh. (Popoholic)

You may have missed it, but there were several movie mistakes made in Spider-Man 3, such as this one: "Spider-Man's cape is missing for the entire film." (Junkiness)

Opie and Anthony seem to be the latest victims of Imusgate. (Deus Ex Malcontent)

This is too good: The six worst scenes in cinematic history, including the worst acting ever, from Silent Night, Deadly Night 2. It's sado-orgasmic. And it's after the jump.

Wilco rules!!!!!

That is all.

Shark Attack 3 is one of the funniest movies ever.

Posted by: Joe at May 15, 2007 4:36 PM

It's sad how often Troll 2 is quoted in my household.

The Fug Girls are on a mission to get the Eurovision contest aired in the US, but I doubt that's what ANYONE would consider quality television. More like super-camp television with a drunk Terry Wogan narrating. I'd pay to see it...

Also, as a 20 year old, I'd like to take Evan Rachel Wood out one night and point out to her the array of hot man-ness that is available in Hollywood (Pajiba's list would be a great starting point), none of whom are Marilyn Manson. Nasty.

Posted by: Genny at May 15, 2007 5:15 PM

Oh God, Genny! I have post-traumatic stress syndrome from watching the Eurovision growing up. When I was a small child Ireland won for the first time and since this was when we were a depressed, bankrupt, self-loathing nation that never won anything, it was treated like we had landed a man on the moon. It became this sacred event to watch and bitch about the fact that UK never gave us any points. The music is so awful, the event is so awful. I mean this is the event that foisted Celine Dion on the world. Need I say more? Scine moving to the US in my 20s, I am pften asked what I like about living in the US and I usually answer "You don't have the Eurovision Song Contest here".

Posted by: PaddyDog at May 15, 2007 5:32 PM

Finally! Wilco! I was spoiled and got to see Wilco live when they were on Conan O'Brien here last year. It's been quite a wait, but well worth it, I'm sure.

Also, PaddyDog, hearing about your EuroVision song contest experience cracked me up. I want to see it myself just for the camp value...and to remind myself of all the fun, crazy stuff that goes on musically in other countries.

It also continues to amaze me that Manson lands chicks. Honestly. I mean, if these women are size queens, (and, that's the only explanation I can come up with for Manson's ability to land chicks--he might be packin') can't they find what they're looking for below the belt, attached to a far more attractive face? Ever since that "Dope Show" video came out, I just keep picturing him with his breast implants. NOT a good look. Ugh.

Sadly I did see shark attack 3 on scifi channel one day. If they hadn't taken out the "random line" it would have slightly eased the pain of watching it.

Posted by: Lex at May 15, 2007 5:48 PM

Um, maybe I'm just weird, but Marilyn Manson has never been anything but skeevy creepy, IMO.

Also, Lindsay Lohan tops the Maxim 100 list? She beat out Jessica Alba, of all people. Listen folks, I can't stand Jessica Alba either, but at least I can understand the attraction. Lindsay is a hot mess. Dumb Maxim people.

Em: Not a word of my story was embellished or exaggerated. My school (I was 4 at the time) actually called us all to Assembly and played the record that won (it was "All Kinds of Wonderful Remind Me of You" by Dana) and then we gave a prayer of thanks (seriously, no shit!). And many years later, that same talentless hack, Dana, who had gone off to the US (and I believe was a regular contributor to the 700 Club) came back and ran for election to the European Parliament on an "Ireland Needs to Return to Its Catholic Roots" ticket, and WON!!!!! People actually voted for her out of nostalgia for her Eurovision win 25 years earlier. You can't make this stuff up.

Posted by: PaddyDog at May 15, 2007 6:22 PM

Marilyn Manson is disgusting. And that is a seriously shitty song, with a fucking catchy bassline that's going to be in my head for days. Thanks Manson, you asshole.

Oh and not only is he disgusting, but he's fucking stupid too. Dita von Teese is way hotter than Evan Rachel Wood all days every day and on Sundays. Not only do I want to borrow that woman's wardrobe, but I want to borrow her body as well.

Posted by: stardust savant at May 15, 2007 7:09 PM

That colloquialism was supposed to be "all day every day and on Sundays", but my disgust at Marilyn Manson made me type it wrong.

Posted by: stardust savant at May 15, 2007 7:10 PM

On Opie & Anthony, I thought that was the whole fucking point of PAYING for satellite radio. Bleh, XM sucks anyway.

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at May 15, 2007 7:14 PM

What jump?

Posted by: Janice at May 15, 2007 10:22 PM

Oh man, I've heard about that John Barrowman line from Shark Attack 3!
Evidently he was ad libbing, trying to make everyone crack up, and it got included in the final cut.
::gigglesnort::
(he supposedly does similar things on the set of Torchwood.)

Uh, I don't know what the creator of that video thinks they're talking about, but those are all probably the most awesome things I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, of course they suck, but they all made me laugh. And you know what? I've seen Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2.

worst stunt ever is a mistake. that's actually the best stunt ever. come on, sliding a horse under an 18 wheeler? on what planet is that not COMPLETELY AWESOME?

Posted by: jordan at May 16, 2007 2:21 AM

I think it's interesting that all of Pajiba's bangable celebrities are at least ten years older than the Maxim girls.

Oh, my God. PaddyDog, that is friggin' hilarious!!! Hmmm, so I guess if I want to become elected to office in Europe (I'm thinking Spain, since my grandparents are from there), I can enter the EuroVision song contest, win, and show up 20 years later asking for a government job. Sweet!!!

OK, now I'm sold--this needs to be made into a movie.

Posted by: em at May 16, 2007 11:44 AM

Evan Rachel Wood - what on EARTH are you thinking, girl? And, I confess, I actually like Marilyn Manson's music. But I'm still skeeved out by the story.

Lindsay Lohan was once attractive. But she was too young. Now she's grosses me out to the point where I wouldn't touch her for money.

Oh man, I thought that said six worst SEX scenes of all time........sooo, get on that please.

Posted by: alexis at May 16, 2007 1:33 PM

alexis:

Elizabeth Berkley and Kyle McLachlan in Showgirls.

The list begins and ends there.

You're welcome.
