Aha, I was hoping for your take on the billboard. Someone put a picture up of the 4 panels and it was sickening.
On the other hand, the Beatles and Zombies mashup made my day.

When I first clicked the Beatles/Zombie mash-up, I was expecting some sort of mixture of a song off Revolver and say, Time of the Season. In retrospect, I don't know why Pajiba would have linked it. But I was pleasantly surprised.

Beatles+Zombies=Awesome. 'Nuff said.
Toby McGuire and his baby are all kinds of cute, and that's saying a lot, considering that I find him to be the poor man's Kevin Spacey, who I find to be the poor man's Jack Lemmon, who I find to be awesome.
The "Captivity" adverts do not look very empowering, and great way to give away the ending (or presumed ending) with the whole "Termination" part. What were they thinking?
Vince...I'll help you. Really. You just need a firm hand and lots of spankings, naughty boy.
But really, what's bothering me is the term "Hipster." I know that by asking this, I'm admitting that I'm not one, but what the heck does that mean? Older people needing hip replacements? Folks who are just totally hip and trendy? People who don't own more than one Perry Como album (definitely not me)? I'm lost. Help me, Pajiba, you're my only hope.
Zambonigirl: It's very simple: A "hipster" is what "hipsters" call other "hipsters" to detract attention away from their own "hipsterness." A "hipster" was once the word du jour for cool and hip people, but now that its uncool and unhip to be hip and cool, it's what unhip and uncool hip cool people call other hip cool people so that we might not be confused with hip cool people. Cause that would be unhip. Dig? -- DR

Zack Snyder sounds like an idiot. I am so upset that he's directing Watchmen, which deserves such better treatment.

*Drool* New Modest Mouse CD AND a possible Watchemen movie? Ok, Zack Snyder does sound like kinda of a moron, but not all directors are great speakers, so...I'm willing to stay open-minded here. But, strange thing, as he spoke, I kept thinking of Bill Paxton as Chet in Weird Science, saying "How about a nice, greasy pork sandwich, served in a dirty ashtray?"

The guys who made Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter are from Ottawa, which is close-ish to where I went to school in Kingston, Ontario. They screened their film at a teeny cinema in Kingston at midnight, in two acts. My friends and I went after a heavy night of drinking and the theatre was packed and full of crazy nerds who yelled constantly at the screen. In between the "acts" (changing the reels) a local punk recited GWAR lyrics in beat poet style while a guy dressed up as a zombie played the bongos. The entire experience was phenomenal and the director did a long Q & A afterwards and is the nicest guy ever. Very nice to see them linked here!

Thanks, Dustin! I feel just that much more in touch with pop culture now.
