They're Gonna be Bigger than Yeezus
There’s been some rumors going around that Kanye West and Paul McCartney are currently collaborating on an album. According to Page Six at least one song may or may not be called “Piss on Your Grave.” I’d be more skeptical because, well, Page Six, but McCartney and Kanye actually seem like a pretty good fit. Both of them are used to working with narcissists who enjoy mixing occasional genius with rampant narcissism and deliberately inflammatory rhetoric. I am referring, of course, to John Lennon and Kanye West himself.
While some of you are no doubt gassing up your outrage machines, the same Page Six link refers to McCartney expressing a desire to work with a rapper like Jay-Z or Kanye, so chances are this is as much Macca’s doing as it is Kanye’s. And while I know it’s not to many of your tastes, either musically or personally, I can’t deny that Kanye has a talent for creating new and different sounds with every album and making excellent use of his collaborators. Plus, the people who love to find weird conspiracy theories in pop music will absolutely explode! Now, if you excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to “Black Skinhead” again because it’s amazing.
