After seeing the first photo and not knowing anything about Wil Wheaton's personal life, I thought this article was going to be "Actor Wil Wheaton gets engaged to his long-time boyfriend in front of Star Trek castmates". He just looks SO excited, and from this angle it looks like the dude is kneeling toward him. Adorable.

This wasn't the only proposal at this Con. I was waiting in line with my friend for a photo op with Patrick Stewart (hotter in person) and the couple in front of us went forward for their turn. The girl walked to the far side of Sir Stewart, and the boy suddenly got down on one knee, with Sir Stewart between and behind them, and the boy pulled out a ring and proposed. The photographer snapped a picture, and Sir Stewart asked, "Is this real?" and the boy said "Yes!" and of course the girl said "Yes!" and although I did not know them I squeeeed like a Bieber fan.

As they walked out in tears and my friend and I walked up to get our picture taken with Sir Stewart, I said, "Well, we can't top that, we're not getting married." And Sir Stewart said, "Well, I certainly can't top it either." Then I stood there in awe realizing I had just had a conversation (a statement and reply is a conversation right!?) with SIR PATRICK STEWART that didn't involve me babbling like a fangirl, got my picture taken and left.

The handler sitting next to him said, "I love your shirt!" and Patrick Stewart said, "Doctor Whooooo" in a deep voice, drawing out the "O" sound, making me weak in the knees.

Being right next to your friends when they get engaged just completely shuts your brain down. I've made a fool of myself doing this exact thing not once, but twice. Didn't help that one was at a football game where my excited crying stupid face was immediately up on the jumbotron.
