Stanley Tucci is As Delightful As You Think He Is

The Graham Norton Show is back after a lengthy enough hiatus that Mr.Norton has managed to grow quite the beard in his absence from our televisions/YouTube home page. He came back strong, though, with Stanley Tucci graciously crediting him for being a part of the inspiration for Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games. Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse were also on to talk about inspirations for some of their characters, and Paul Whitehouse shows off his opera skills.

Tucci was apparently there to promote his cookbook, The Tucci Table, which is never mentioned in the clips on YouTube but I can see it on Graham’s lap there. Anyway, this is probably why there’s a segment on poorly translated or phrased food names that got Mr.Tucci laughing so hard he cried. His reactions are probably better than the actual mistranslations.

And while I don’t usually post the red chair segments, this one is good only for the fact that some backstage producer managed to cue up an absolutely perfect comedy bit. I have no idea if it was intentional or not, but it’s fantastic.
