Are we still giving warnings for Force Awakens spoilers? Is that still something we need to do? Then fine, spoilers.

One of the biggest questions we have as we sit and stew in our our own theories before Star Wars: Episode VIII hits, is what Rey’s relationship with Luke Skywalker will look like moving forward. When The Force Awakens left us with a pretty major cliffhanger on an actual cliff, it was clear that these two would have some serious shit to work out. Most of the world seems to believe that Luke is Rey’s father, but at the very least, they’ve set him up to be her mentor, training her in the ways of the Jedi.

So what will that training look like? If you want the boring answer, this is how Daisy Ridley is becoming a (person who will play a) Jedi.

But of course we all knew the REAL answer was better than that. Because if Luke is going to train Rey to harness her powers, then train the only way he knows how, he must.

Hey, if Yoda could scam a kid into giving some free piggyback rides, then so can Luke. Thank you, Mark Hamill, for this birthday gift to all of us.
