A year ago, we headed to the polls confident we’d soon be celebrating the election of the United States of America’s first female president. At once it feels like it was just yesterday and like an eternity ago. We were so young then. We took for granted simple things like hope and a good night’s sleep. It’s been a hell of a year. And Twitter was feeling it.

But then behold! As the night came, so did so much good news for progressives and people who aren’t bigoted fuckwads! And so this meme took on a new life.

Hang in there. The reckoning begins today.
