I was too late in catching the 'Seductive Adulteresses' article to add a comment, but had to say it warmed my heart to see Diane Lane at no. 1.

Not many people know this, but last October was the 30th Anniversary of my one-sided love affair with Diane (to my knowledge, she hasn't been made aware of this yet, but it is my Anniversary, now innit??)

I saw her first movie, A Little Romance, when it was originally released to theatres in 1979 (gasp), and my friend and I went the next four nights it was showing, with no one else in the city of Sumter, SC in attendance at any showing we went to, at least. And I've seen almost every single movie she's been in since (she was in a lot of movies, people- not good ones for the most part, but a lot).

Anyhow, I was always interested in knowing your opinion of the film, since it falls under a genre you seem to like, and I hardly care for otherwise. I know you've got all the time in the world to answer this, if you bother checking back at all, so I'll be expecting-- no, no, my- how you say? - "sense of humor," I keed.

Seriously, if you'd keep the movie in mind for a future related review, I'll be checking it. . . and it'd better be favorable. . .

Now get the hell away from your keyboard and enjoy the weekend, 'pally'*!

*stole that from Dean Martin- try saying it in his voice, it's fun!

...I was not actually aware that bears had such sway in Hollywood.

If I were making a list of the most impressive bears in Hollywood, I'm pretty sure I'd have to include ALL bears in Hollywood in order to make it a list, rather than just a statement.

Still, props for branching out, pajiba. First cocks, now bears. I nominate dogs next.

When clicking in again to see the updates, I was reminded of what I wanted to put in my original post, which is that, as far as the 'Seductress' term goes, my beautiful Diane shouldn't even be on this list; she can get through charming, romantic, dramatic (for the most part) and drop-dead sexy/gorgeous, no doubt (see 'Fierce People' for the latest evidence of that)- but is pretty lame in the 'seductress' department (don't see 'Cotton Club', or even 'Unfaithful' for evidence of that alone)- she's usually more the 'seductee', if that's a word.

Just 'cause I've loved her over 30 years doesn't mean I think she's one of the better actresses around.

Kate Winslet would've made the top of my list, for 'Little Children' and 'The Reader' alone. Thank heaven she's created quite a few great, naked - - emotions on celluloid for us to treasure always.

I love Cherry Valance. She's the love of my life.

Tina Fey does absolutely nothing for me. And I follow my dick around like its fucking Tenzig Norgay.

Cherry Valance was a babe, alright, but she's hardly onscreen long enough- that's a problem with a lot of Diane's films (but to be honest, I don't care if I never see 'Streets of Fire' again, she looks as embarrassed as everyone else in that horror show).

D'onofrio as Thor was in "Adventures in Babysitting" with Elisabeth Shue not "Don't tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead".
