Pajiba After Dark: And There Was Much Rejoicing
Are you ready for some football? Because football is ready for you. Tonight marks the return of NFL football, something we weren't entirely sure would be happening when the summer started and a lot of people are very excited about it. Several Pajibans have already expressed their delight and I'm sure there's plenty more of you who have the chips, beer, and jerseys ready to go. Now, for something completely different: next week Pajiba After Dark is going to get a bit of a makeover. We're going to try a few new things in order to bring more attention to the things you probably WANT to watch and take emphasis away from all the stuff you'd rather not remember is on TV. I'm sure some of you will hate it and if you can find a constructive way to express that displeasure I invite you to do so. If you love it, I also encourage you to chime and let us know because as with all changes around here we're doing this for YOU. Kind of. Here's your Thursday night TV:
8:30pm: "CBS Fall Preview" on CBS
"Sunday Night Football: New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers" on NBC. 25th season premiere on a special night.
9:00pm: "Big Brother" on CBS
"Burn Notice" on USA. Fifth season summer finale.
"The First 48" on A&E
"Millionaire Matchmaker" on Bravo
"Most Valuable Players" on OWN. This is a special following some high school theater troupes as they participate in the Freddy Awards which the OWN website refers to as "the Tony Awards for high school musicals." I'm a little surprised and pleased that this isn't being promoted as "The real life 'Glee!'"
"Project Runway" on Lifetime
"Rookie Blue" on ABC
10:00pm: "Ancient Aliens" on History
"Beyond Scared Straight" on A&E
"Futurama" on Comedy Central. Sixth season finale.
"Jersey Shore" on MTV
"Junkies" on Science
"LA Ink" on TLC
"Rookie Blue" on ABC. Second season finale.
"Suits" on USA. First season finale.
"Wilfred" on FX. First season finale.
10:30pm: "Louie" on FX. Second season finale. A lot of you ding me for not talking about this show more, but I promise I know it exists and I do like Louis C.K a lot I just don't really have anything to say besides "Hey! Look! You should watch that" so I've been waiting until I had something more substantial to say.
"Stuck with Hackett" on Science
