I Miss You!

Today rounds out the unofficial teen angst week here on Pajiba After Dark so because this is a television column tonight I want to know what you were watching when you were younger. Did you have a favorite show or was it more whatever was on in the background as you talked on the phone? (Side note: I am appalled when I think back on how much time I spent on the phone as a teenager. I hate talking on the phone now and will go to great lengths to avoid it if at all possible.) I'm a little too young to have hit some of the more popular teen dramas like "My So Called Life" but I do remember watching "Popular", "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" out of misplaced affection for "Clarissa Explains It All" and, obviously, "Daria." I still miss "Daria" but I don't want to get the DVDs because I know they don't have the right music and that makes me sad. So, what was your teen self watching? And here's what your current self can enjoy:

8:00pm: "Big Brother" on CBS

"Monday Night Football: Preseason" on ESPN. Tonight's matchup is the Carolina Panthers at the Baltimore Ravens. My brother is actually working this game down at M&T Band Stadium so if you watch this game be sure to point and laugh at him.

"So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox. Two hour seventh season finale at a special time.

9:00pm: "American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior" on TLC. Series premiere.

"Burn Notice" on USA

"Project Runway" on Lifetime

"The Real Housewives of DC" on Bravo

"Rookie Blue" on ABC

"Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest Pranksters" on TruTV

"The Universe" on History

10:00pm: "BBQ Pit Masters" on TLC. Second season premiere. There's more than one season worth of people standing around watching meat cook incredibly slowly? I'm not debating the deliciousness of said meat, but BBQ takes FOREVER and it's hard enough to stand that wait when you get to eat it, never mind just watching it on TV. I don't understand this show.

"Bethenny Getting Married?" on Bravo. This is a "Lost Footage" special episode so, you know, just that.

"Boston Med" on ABC. First season finale.

"Come Dine With Me" on BBCA

"Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" on SyFy

"Futurama" on Comedy Central

"Jersey Shore" on MTV

"NICU" on Health

"Penn and Teller: Bullshit" on Showtime. Eighth season finale. This week's topic is vaccinations. I checked their website and it appears they are pro-vaccinations, for the record. I could be wrong, though.

"Raising Sextuplets" on WE. Second season finale.

"Royal Pains" on USA

"The Squad: Prison Police" on A&E

"Stan Lee's Superhumans" on History

10:30pm: "On the Road with Austin and Santino" on Lifetime

"The Squad: Prison Police" on A&E

Late Night Listings

"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on NBC featuring Javier Bardem, Paul Watson, Peter Bethune, and the Whigs

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" on ABC featuring Sylvester Stallone, Levi Johnston, and Buckcherry

"The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS featuring Emma Thompson and Carlos Alazraqui

"Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on NBC featuring Mickey Rourke, Kids in the Hall, and the Walkmen

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Comedy Central featuring Arcade Fire

"The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central featuring Chuck Close
