Happy Birthday, Mom!
It's Earth Day today, which I'm sure some people celebrate for real but all I really associate it with is dippy art projects from elementary school that involve "recycling" things like newspapers, magazines, and tissues boxes or toilet roll tubes by turning them into hideous version of "art" that usually involve gluing pieces of magazine or newspaper onto the tissue box or toilet roll tube and calling it a "recipe card box" or a "scrunchie holder" (I was a child of the '90s, shut up). It also happens to be my Mom's birthday, so I was almost always more concerned about how I was going to celebrate my mother than how I was going to celebrate earth. So, internet, please wish my mother a very happy birthday and maybe get more diligent about actually recycling. Saving tissue boxes you might find a way to reuse doesn't count, it just makes you a candidate for "Hoarders." Here's Thursday night's TV:
8:00 p.m.: "Bones" on Fox.
"Community" on NBC.
"Flash Forward" on ABC. This is still happening? Isn't next week the date they all "flash forwarded" to? Maybe I should bother tuning in.
"Survivor" on CBS.
"The Vampire Diaries" on The CW.
8:30 p.m.: "30 Rock" on NBC. ALERT! This is on at a special time! Be sure to adjust your DVRs and/or plans if necessary.
9:00 p.m.: "CSI" on CBS.
"Fringe" on Fox.
"The Office" on NBC.
"Private Practice" on ABC. New episode at a special time, the time that "Grey's Anatomy" usually comes on which is kind of a mean way to try and trick more people into watching the disaster that is "Private Practice".
"Supernatural" on The CW.
9:30 p.m.: "30 Rock" on NBC. ALERT! ANOTHER ONE! I'm being obnoxious because I know you "30 Rock" fans are legion and if you feel like it's my fault you missed an episode I'll need to start watching my back.
10:00pm: "Ace of Cakes" on Food Network. Eighth season finale.
"Celebrity Rehab Presents: Sober House" on VH1.
"The Marriage Ref" on NBC.
"The Mentalist" on CBS.
"Project Runway" on Lifetime. Seventh season finale.
"Real Housewives of New York City" on Bravo.
