Obviously the big news today is that there was a football game played yesterday and this one team won it and the other team lost. And that all the performers seemed to be on a mission to out-do each other in the field of embarrassing moments in front of the nation. It just got worse as the night went on, to the point where it was almost funny if it hadn’t been so painful. In my opinion, the whole mess probably wasn’t worth the hangover some of y’all are sporting today, although I wasn’t around for the live chat so maybe that part was. But that’s all in the past and right now we’re looking to the future. Specifically, to the immediate future involving what’s on television tonight. Here’s your Monday night TV:

7:00pm: “Inside the Actor’s Studio” on Bravo. Guest this week is the always appreciated Colin Firth probably talking about that movie of his that’s been winning lots of awards recently. Man could talk about grass growing and I’m betting there’s still a significant percentage of you that would tune in.

8:00pm: “90210” on The CW

“Antiques Roadshow” on PBS

“The Bachelor” on ABC

“Chuck” on NBC

“Enough Already with Peter Walsh” on OWN

“House” on Fox

“How I Met Your Mother” on CBS

“Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family

“The Unpoppables” on TLC. Series premiere. The TLC description of this “‘The Unpoppables’ follows the quirky daredevils of New Balloon Art as they wow clients with the most innovative balloon sculptures ever.” I think there’s a copywriter out there who needs to be shot for using the words “quirky,” “daredevils,” and “innovative” when discussing freaking balloons.

8:30pm: “Rules of Engagement” on CBS

9:00pm: “All Worked Up” on TruTV

“American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior” on Discovery. First season finale.

“American Pickers” on History

“The Bad Girls Club” on Oxygen

“Being Human” on SyFy

“Cake Boss” on TLC

“The Cape” on NBC

“The Chicago Code” on Fox. Series premiere. Just what we need, another gritty cop drama!

“Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” on Food Network

“Gossip Girl” on The CW

“Greek” on ABC Family

“Reagan” on HBO

“Intervention” on A&E

“Top Gear” on BBCA. 16th season premiere.

“Two and a Half Men” on CBS. Honestly, at this point I’m more curious about what it would take to get Charlie Sheen taken off this show than why he hasn’t been removed already.

“WWE: RAW” on USA

“You’re Cut Off” on VH1

9:30pm: “Mike and Molly” on CBS

10:00pm: “19 Kids and Counting” on TLC

“Castle” on ABC

“Harry’s Law” on NBC

“Hawaii Five-0” on CBS

“Heavy” on A&E

“Lizard Lick Towing” on TruTV. Series premiere.

“Pawn Star$” on History

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” on Logo

“Skins” on MTV

“Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” on Bravo

“The X Life” on VH1

Late Night Listings

“The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS featuring Martin Lawrence and Steel Magnolia

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC featuring Mark Wahlberg, Lachlan Patterson, and James Blunt

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC featuring Dr.Phil McGraw, Amy Sedaris, and Nelly

“The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS featuring Dominic Monaghan, Gabrielle Union, and Kurt Metzger

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on NBC featuring Brooke Shields, Alex Pettyfer, and And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead

“Chelsea Lately” on E featuring Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Colonna, Ryan Stout, and Chris Hardwick

“Conan” on TBS featuring Jeff Bridges, Nick Swardson, and Far East Movement
