I keep hearing about the weather event taking place in the Mid-East coast from friends and family in the area and decided I'd take a moment to address it. I was home for the first big snowfall of the year in December which helped me to remind me that I hate snow. Even when I lived in Maryland (which is not exactly the snowfall capital of the US) I came to the conclusion that snow is mostly cold, wet, and in the way. It does make for a very charming winter landscape, provided you never ever have to interact with it in any way. I expect many of you who may have started the winter liking snow are now firmly on my side of the fence. Down here in Miami, we're having a chilly spell with lows tonight expected to get all the way down into the 40s. Horrors! I might have to put socks on! Honestly though, I hope all the Pajibans experiencing Snowpocalypse 2: The Snowddening are somewhere safe and warm, and since you're already snowed in, here's what you can look to for mindless entertainment:

8:00 p.m.: "Human Target" on Fox.

"Mercy" on NBC.

"The New Adventures of Old Christine" on CBS. Every day I do this feature I am always amazed at how many shows are on television for repeat seasons when I literally do not know a single person who watches them. I'm either way out of touch with the average television viewer (likely) or not paying enough attention to the television viewing habits of those around me (also likely).

8:30 p.m.: "Gary Unmarried" on CBS.

"The Middle" on ABC.

9:00 p.m.: "American Idol: Hollywood Round Part 2" on Fox.

"Criminal Minds" on CBS. I like "Criminal Minds" in a way because I can drop in on literally any episode and not have to worry about things like continuity. Sure, every so often characters will talk about events that happened previously, but by and large it's all about who the bad guy is that week and how to catch him using profiling. In that way its very similar to the CSI shows, but with less flagrantly false "science" and lab scenes.

"Friday Night Lights" on DirecTV. Third season finale. That means it's moving over to regular TV soon, right? RIGHT? Damnit, I want my Riggins back.

"Man Vs. Wild" on Discovery.

"Modern Family" on ABC.

9:30 p.m.: "Cougar Town" on ABC.

"The Inbetweeners" on BBCA.

10:00 p.m.: "CSI: NY" on CBS.

"Leverage" on TNT.

"Nip/Tuck" on FX. I know this is the last season of "Nip/Tuck" and a part of me wants to get all the DVDs after it ends and just completely overdose on the kind of melodramatic ridiculousness that this show specializes in.

"Psych" on USA.

"The Real World" on MTV.

"Shear Genius" on Bravo.

"Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns" on TBS.

"Ugly Betty" on ABC. I don't think I've mentioned this before, but because the show is ending I'll say that I tried to watch an episode or two but couldn't handle it because so much of the color scheme looked like somebody vomited up an Easter Basket. If anyone is still watching, is that still true?
