See You Next Year! (That's for Morena. I'll See You Pajibans on Monday)

Today’s the last day you’ll be hearing from me this week in honor of American Thanksgiving, so let me take this chance to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there who’ll be celebrating this Thursday! I hope each and every one of you wonderful people out there in internet land get to have a wonderful meal with people you love. Even if the people you love happen to be vegans, which is having a BIG impact on the Thanksgiving day menu. The people. That’s the most important thing.

7:00 p.m.: “Holly and Hal Moose: Our Uplifting Christmas Special” on ABC.

8:00 p.m.: “the Biggest Loser” on NBC.

“NCIS” on CBS.

“So You Think You Can Dance” on FOX.

“V” on ABC. And tonight is the first season winter finale. So, you know, try not to miss it. I guess. If you’re into that sort of thing.

9:00 p.m.: “Dancing With The Stars” on ABC. (Two hour season finale. Because God knows there’s just too much Star-Dancing excitement to contain in a mere 60 minutes.)

“Dirty Jobs” on Discovery.

“I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant” on Health, because I know some ladies out there who love to be appalled at this mess.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS.

10:00 p.m.: “The Good Wife” on CBS.

“The Jay Leno Show” on NBC.

“Sons of Anarchy” on FX.

Intern Rusty is a Masters student at the University of Miami. You can learn more about her at Rusty’s Ventures. She will attempt to eat her weight in turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes over the next few days, which isn’t that hard because she’s roughly Tinkerbell sized.

I'll try not to kill any of my relatives.

Have a good one Rusty.

While most of you get to eat turkey and get wasted with white trash family members that inevitably start some bullshit (is that my family? maybe I'm confused), I'll be having chicken and rice and platanos and yucca for the 487th day (really- 16 months = 487 days) in a row. I guess the conquistadores didn't wait around long enough to see if the Incans knew how to cook turkey and pumpkin pie before they slaughtered them all off.

What was I saying...? Be thankful for turkey and beer that isn't shitty, I suppose.

Maybe now we can find out if he actually assassinates ninjas, or is just a ninja who specializes in assassination.

Dammit, now my head hurts, just like last time.

Oh and so we can have some fun in here, while still being somewhat on topic:

I heard a rumor that Mike Rowe will show up at your house with only a hardhat and a smile if you can find the code word on this very site! Get to guessing!

"..if he actually assassinates ninjas, or is just a ninja who specializes in assassination..."

You just blew my mind.

And the word is:

Miscellany

/waits for Mike Rowe, wearing only steel-tipped boots

I love getting cheap genre stuff like Ninja Assassin on a major holiday.

And the amount of unending wanton lust I have for Morena Baccarin and Inara couldn't make me turn on V even once.

BTW, did the Pajibans ever establish the rankings of the Firefly ladies? I'm curious.

Posted by: Fredo at November 24, 2009 8:54 PM

Maybe if we had Thanksgiving here, we could all learn to love again...

Posted by: Daniel Hall at November 24, 2009 8:56 PM

Fredo: 1. Inara, 2. Saffron, 3. Kaylee, 4. River, 5. Zoe. Zoe is a bit too she-warrior for my tastes. Plus, after Wash, she probably won't be real frisky.

I'll miss V and hope IF it comes back as teased than it is for more than 4 episodes. It was really starting to kick in. I thought the 4 episodes set the stage well and I want to know what happens next. Lots of interesting things in this episode.

Posted by: TylerDFC at November 24, 2009 9:38 PM

Fredo, I couldn't possibly rank them, for each one appeals to a different yet equal aspect of my personality.

- Kaylee and I can talk nerdy engineering stuff (while boning)
- Zoe will pretty much dominate, and I can learn how to fight (while boning)
- River taps into the nurturing caregiver side of me, making me want to hug her and tell her everything will be okay (while boning)
- Inara is a goddamn goddess, and can teach me other things in bed (definitely while boning)
- Saffron appeals to my natural nice-guy inclination to go after the naughty girl who will ruin my life before taking it (while boning HARD)

Plus, Inara and Saffron swing both ways, so it isn't like I HAVE to choose!

It hurts me to see Mike Rowe doing Ford commercials. The man should be wet and filthy all the time, not looking all clean and happy to be selling out! Wrong! WRONG!

Also, the people on Dancing With the Stars should watch So You Think You Can Dance and be ashamed that they call what they do dancing.

Posted by: figgy at November 24, 2009 10:06 PM

I wish I could dance like that. As it is, though, I can barely do a 180 turn before I get motion sick, let alone a full turn. And I can't even do the Macarena properly as I lack any coordination whatsoever. Ah, well.

Posted by: figgy at November 24, 2009 11:02 PM

The kind of Dirty Jobs I would have for Mike Rowe to do if he showed up at my house would NOT be suitable for airing on the Discovery Channel. I think you have to pay extra for the channels that could carry it. A lot extra. In fact, it might even be illegal in some states and principalities.

Lwae,
Doesn't that guy play around in shit and rotten food every episode? And you want to do him?

There are a lot of disgusting things named after cities. Yeah, I'm going to leave this one alone.

Oh, thank you, I thought I was the only one.

And FORDs? Really, Mike? Ford? Jeez, I hope they bought you a house for that.
