We're Still on TV? Well, I'm Just as Shocked as Anyone

It’s been one of those weekends where nothing seems to go quite right for me. Like I have everything kind of loosely planned out in my head and while it mostly all happens, it just happens in not the way I wanted it to. It’s frustrating, because I got to do everything I wanted this weekend so I should be happy, but mostly I’m just looking forward to my flight back home for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I hope all of you had more satisfying weekends! Here’s what you can lose yourself in tonight:

7:00 p.m.: “60 Minutes” on CBS.

“Brothers” on FOX.

“Football Night in America” on NBC.

8:00 p.m.: “2009 American Music Awards” on ABC. I will watch this, one because it’s kind of my field and two because Lady Gaga is performing and I kind of adore her performances. Honestly.

“The Amazing Race” on CBS.

“Did the Mob Kill JFK” on Discovery, because I guess the conspiracy nuts need something new to obsess over for a while.

“The Simpsons” on FOX.

8:15 p.m.: “Sunday Night Football: Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears” on NBC. I know people on both sides of this fight, so I’ll just keep my nose out of it.

8:30 p.m.: “The Cleveland Show” on FOX.

9:00 p.m.: “Cold Case” on CBS.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” on HBO.

“Dexter” on Showtime.

“JFK: The Ruby Connection” on Discovery.

“Family Guy” on FOX.

9:30 p.m.: “American Dad” on FOX.

10:00 p.m.: “Californication” on Showtime.

“Sex Rehab with Dr.Drew” on VH1.

“Three Rivers” on CBS.

12:00 a.m.: “The Venture Brothers” on Adult Swim, which I mention only because there are Pajibans out there who might like to know that Patton Oswalt, John Hodgeman, Seth Green and Brendon Small are guest starring tonight. Or guest voicing. Whatever, it’ll be awesome. As James Urbaniak, the voice of Rusty Venture, said on his Twitter earlier today “Its like a nerd Ocean’s 11”.

Intern Rusty is a Masters student at the University of Miami. You can learn more about her at Rusty’s Ventures.

Damn. I really need to catch up on those Venture Brothers DVDs (I've still only seen the first season).

Hurrah! Go Team Venture!

And I am really stoked, as Oakland managed to eke out a win against the Bengals. I had expected the Raiders to collect a fearful arse-whuppin', so this was a welcome surprise.

Huzzah for football!

We're gonna watch Da Bears and then punch a puppy. Hot time in the ol' town tonight!

Bears right now acting as the puppy getting punched! Hot damn, does Jay Cutler suck?!

/team is 10-0.

I'm looking forward to more new Metalocalypse and the finale of Titan Maximum.

COLD CASE!?!? who greenlit another season of that dreary turd?

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at November 22, 2009 9:50 PM

I fucking love Lady Gaga.

That is all.

RE: Dexter tonight: I can safely say that I did not see that coming...this season is FINALLY getting good.

One, I love Cold Case. Shut it.

Two, I love Top Gear. I want to be the star in a reasonably priced car. Just once.

Sunday night here are Masterpiece on PBS and then The Venture Brothers.

The last 2 offerings from Masterpiece (Collision and Place of Execution) have been far and away better then anything else on TV on Sunday nights.

I should not love Cold Case, but... I can't help watching it whenever it's on. It's bizarre and always has that shit-balls retarded ending but god dammit, I cry every time. They just have the saddest stories! I make no apologies.

Hay annoyingmouse, I agree with you. The ending of Dexter was great. But the rest of the show was so stupid. I spent the entire time asking myself why the fuck Dexter was at Trinity's house for thanksgiving. Once it became clear Trinity was an abusive fuck, Dexter had nothing left to learn from him, so why stick around? And don't tell me that he cares about Trinity's family. He can barely manage to care about his own family.
