Pajiba After Dark / Intern Rusty

So how about that Paheeba day? Full of awesomeness and sparkles and lady parts, right? Although I feel like I should apologize to mrs.admin for inadvertently seeing her husband in an inappropriate context. But really, what Paheeba day demonstrates to me is that we have an amazing amount of talent and friendship within the Pajiban community and it always blows me away what people can come up with when given the opportunity. Especially when it’s not for their own gain but to honor the memory of a friend and help send a little boy to the college of his dreams one day. It’s really quite touching. In the heart warming way, not the naughty way, although there’s a lot of that too. Now that I’ve gotten sappy all over you, here’s what Thursday night TV has to offer:

8:00 p.m.: “Bones” on FOX. I’m starting to get really irritated by Angela. She’s never been my favorite, but I always attributed it to her having to fit this ridiculous “free spirit” mold to provide some kind of “contrast” to the rest of the cast. Now I just think she’s condescending and selfish. Anyone else getting this?

“Community” on NBC.

“Flash Forward” on ABC. I still haven’t gotten around to watching last week’s episode on Hulu. Whoops. I’m sure I’ll get around to it. Maybe. It’s less of a “must watch” for me ever since they killed off the hot guy. Yes, I’m shallow.

“Miami Dolphins at Carolina Panthers” on NFL Network.

“Survivor” on CBS.

“Vampire Diaries” on The CW.

8:30 p.m.: “Parks and Recreation” on NBC.

9:00 p.m.: “CSI” on CBS.

“Fringe” on FOX.

“Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC. The turn at the end of last week’s episode was either a brilliant and planned reveal, or the writer’s realizing they were about to 100% kill the goodwill towards yet another character and trying to pull it back. I guess how they move forward will determine which one it is.

“The Office” on NBC.

“Supernatural” on The CW.

“WWII in HD” on History.

9:30 p.m.: “30 Rock” on NBC.

10:00 p.m.: “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” on FX.

“The Jay Leno Show” on NBC.

“The Mentalist” on CBS.

“Project Runway” on Lifetime. I’m not a huge fan of any of the final three (I’m still mourning the elimination of Ra’mon, who was the most interesting and appealing designer on the show in my opinion) but of them I think that Carol Hannah has the best fundamentals vis a vis construction, and because I’m not blown away by any of their “visions” I’m pulling for her. But it all ends tonight, either way.

“Private Practice” on ABC.

I'm also rooting for Carol Hannah if only because the other two seem to be unapologetically colossal cunts. Also, she's super cute. Oh, and they need to move next season back to NYC.

I just hope for more erin/andy action in the office. Also, CANNOT WAIT for Will Arnett to join Parks and Recreation. I actually have to catch up and watch the series now. ^_^

Will Arnett is joining Parks and Recreation? I watched the first episode and didn't make it to the end, I might actually put in some effort to catch up on it now...

I'm pulling for Irina because I'm a sucker for well made outerwear and graphic tees. It feels like the first real streetwear collection since Kara Janx's decoy collection in Season 2. Except for, you know, the total lack of color. Was no color in a year ago at fashion week when this was filmed? I'm struggling to remember the reports of "Toasted Oatmeal is the New Black" and "Bank Robber Chic is In."

Tim suggests that we won't be able to tell that the final three designers did not get to introduce their collections to the audience through the magic of technology. I'll be watching like my life depends on pointing out where Althea's hand disappears for 2 seconds because the green-screening got screwed up or other such egregious errors.

This season also suffered from a lack of Michael Kors/Nina Garcia. They were like in only three episodes and shit.

Wait wait WAIT just one minute here... are you telling me that BSlim watches Project Runway?

My world has been rent asunder.

I'm sorry, Rusty, but Irina is the clear winner. Carol Hannah failed to make a co-cohesive collection...she pretty well pulled a Belichick...Nina will never stand for it.

Also, just FYI, next season is back in New York and MK and Nina are in every episode.

Tonight's Survivor is gonna be AWESOME. I can't wait to see what Russell does next.

Posted by: figgy at November 19, 2009 9:04 PM

OH HOOOO! that was awesome! The looks on everyone's faces were absolutely perfect.

Hands down the best season of recent years. It's fantastic!

Posted by: figgy at November 19, 2009 9:53 PM

Damnit, I want to share an apartment with a gay Nate Corddry!

I'm a little agog at BSlim as well. Must be an impostor.

Survivor has become so much fun to watch with Russell. I can't remember a recent season that was this good. Dude is playing.

...and now Stephen Colbert has just performed an Elvis Costello song with Elvis accompanying on the guitar. That was beautiful.

@Chugga

I'm sorry for using "join", I meant "appear for one episode" :)

Rusty, if by the Hot Guy on FlashForward you mean The Famous Jett Jackson. Then yes. And yes I said yes I will yes.

Yes I did just quote James Joyce. Yes I'm a little ashamed.

Posted by: buttercup at November 20, 2009 2:01 AM

buttercup, I am absolutely referring to The Famous Jett Jackson. I felt half pervy about having inappropriate thoughts about a former Disney star until I found out that he's two years older than me. Fair game!

I'm an NBC whore, so here's where I am:

Community, to me, has been really disappointing. I LOVE the major players in it, I seriously do. But man. It's just flat. I was pretty excited about it, but I find myself drifting out of the room, changing the channel, etc. I'm not into it.

Parks and Recreation (which I call Parks and Rec) has burrowed into my teeny tiny heart and made me fall in love. I know not everyone likes it or got into it, but wow, I adore it. Even my husband and daughter are into it now. The hunting episode last night was great. It has the sort of semi-absurd humor that I love on 30 Rock and The Office. This is one I will be getting on DVD to watch over and over and over again and memorize every line, facial expression and gesture and become like a happy little dream for me and a crutch when I'm feeling bad and something my family will worry about, as with my other DVD obsessions.

Speaking of, I love The Office probably more than is emotionally healthy and I just cannot get into this whole storyline of POSSIBLE BANKRUPTCY OHMYGOD. And I would gladly watch the players on The Office do ANYTHING. Read the phone book, rate each other's farts, you name it. But I can't dig into this storyline. It bores me. (And I can't believe I'm saying that!) Why aren't they making Pam show a bit more? I realize she's not pregnant in real life, but according to the storyline, she's about seven months along. And looks the same as before she was pregnant. Jim is a co-manager, snore. Ryan is a douche, shock!

30 Rock makes me so happy it's sickening. Tina Fey is someone I would also watch do anything. ANYTHING. I would watch her pee into a sun tea jar. (HEEEY!)

And now I just realized I need to update my amazon wish list for the husband with the third season of 30 Rock.
