I apologize for getting this up late, folks. Blame Austin. However, as we do every year, we’re offering our readers another opportunity to dazzle us with their random selection of NCAA Men’s basketball team winners. We’re doing another bracket. The winner, as always, receives $50 and a beautiful cotton Whiskey Baby Ninja Star T-Shirt.

To enter your bracket, you’ll first need a Yahoo Account. Then, you can go to this page to sign up(after you’ve logged in). The ID# for the Pajiba Group (WhiskeyBabyNinjaStar) is 171997 and the password is pajiba. If you signed up last year, your bracket may already be included in the group — you need only to fill it in.

You have until tip off Thursday to make your picks. I encourage as many of you as possible to play, understanding that bracketology is an inexact science. In fact, it’s not a science at all. The less you know about basketball, the better you’re likely to do in many cases. Just pick your favorite team names or use a monkey and a dartboard. It will take you all over seven minutes to complete your bracket, unless you try really hard, in which case you don’t have a shot in hell at winning.

I'm in. And Gonzaga is a fine school with a lovely campus (one of my best friends went there). Its most famous alum is Bing Crosby, for heaven's sake. Just 'cuz their naming committee ("What the hell are we gonna call this place?") went on a three-day bender right as the deadline loomed doesn't mean they deserve your scorn!

It was a toss-up between Duke and Louisville, but Duke's uniforms are blue and I like blue better than red, so Duke it is. Last year, I'm pretty sure I picked Morehead just because it made me giggle. I am 12. Anyway, this time I decided to actually try. Might be slightly more fun this way.

Hey Coach K is a Chicago guy, from the shut down Catholic school of Weber.....and I hate the fuckers.

I have no idea what's going on this year, so I picked teams according to which fans I thought needed the win, because of hard economic times, or just plain living in a crappy place with nothing to get excited about besides college hoops.

My only real Cinderella team is American University, because my sister-in-law lives there, and because what the hell is AU doing in the tournament? Bizarro World.

I usually pick by team colors but as I cannot see their team colors I went by the ones whose names I've heard before or liked and then by mascot.

I've won a piece of the Superbowl pot every year just by going by who has cuter jerseys.

Snath -- that would be a G-D miracle for the Gophs to win it all. Maybe next year -- Tubby + Royce White from Hopkins and Rodney Williams + the same good defensive nucleus as this year hopefully = a long run in the tourney next year. I had Gophs season tickets in 01-02 when Rick Rickert was there and watched them choke enough games to lose their tourney bid.

I hate Rick Rickert almost as much as I hate Dan Monson.
