Oh, the Crossover Possibilities That Flit Through My Mind

Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials on CBS at 8:00pm ET. I’ve already seen the “Banned from the Superbowl!” click-bait going around. I’m pretty sure 90% of those commercials never reached the eyes of anyone actually in charge of clearing the advertisements for the Superbowl and it’s just an attempt to get attention without shelling out the millions of dollars it actually costs to buy ad time during the Superbowl.

Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged on MTV at 9:00pm ET. I realize some of her style and performance choices have made her an unpopular character around here, but if this Unplugged results in some things that sound more like these recordings than what she’s been releasing lately, it’ll be nice. I think she has an interesting voice, and she sounds better trained than most pop starlets. As for the rest of it: hair grows, you can always put more clothes on, and who hasn’t bumped their butt where they shouldn’t have a couple times?

American Horror Story on FX at 10:00pm ET. Third season finale.

Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond on BBCA at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. Starring Dominic Cooper as Ian Fleming, and showing us a version of Fleming’s experiences during World War II that have been slightly altered for “dramatic effect.” Also starring Lara Pulver, who some of you know better as Irene Adler.

Broad City on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess enjoys “Wrecking Ball” as a song, no matter how ridiculous the video may be.
