Mark Ruffalo Shares Behind-the-Scenes ‘Avengers’ Pictures With Us, His Very Closest Friends

By Vivian Kane | Miscellaneous | April 23, 2014 | Comments ()

Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk you’d most like to bring home to meet your parents, has taken to Twitter to give us a behind the scenes look at the Avengers: Age of Ultron filming going on in the UK. Because clearly we’re best friends and he wants to share these special moments with us. Mark, honey, when you do things like this it just makes it harder for my love to stay at non-stalkery levels.

Black Widow doesn’t do ‘incognito’ very well, does she?

He then retweeted this photo from RDJ:

But why does Stark get the kid’s chair?

I think the important takeaway is that it looks like Black Widow got her good hair from Avengers back. The flat ironed look was distractingly bad in Winter Soldier.

I always felt that Ruffalo was wrong as Hulk - somehow he just doesn't strike me as a brilliant scientist. He seemed out of place in the movie. RDJ on the other hand...

  • mzblackwidow

Mark Ruffalo is PERFECT - the first time the Hulk is seen with some emotion, some understanding of the man behind the giant green rage monster. Joss specialises is showing the humanity of supposed monsters.

I agree with you so much. I have to admit, part of the reason that I love the "science bros" so much is that both are awesome and superheros and all that, and both have had problems with depression and anxiety. And there wasn't a magic sci-fi solution.. They just do their best and keep going. That is so important to me, and the way Ruffalo plays it in the Avengers makes me actually look forward to a Hulk movie for the first time in...ever.

I think RDJ is "Just for Men"ing his beard...

That's a LMD (Life Model Decoy) used for promotional purposes.

I love the relationship the films have created between Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, particularly the framing device from Iron Man 3. Science buddies ftw!

Because RDJ is a tinie little pixie man

Stark gets the kid chair because he's the Avenger with the most toys to play with.

  • cruzzercruz

I'm pretty sure the RDJ chair is a joke about his height. Duh-doy!

  • Donna SHerman

Yeah, but Renner's pretty short too, no?

  • cruzzercruz

RDj is 5'9, Renner is 5'10. Neither is really that short, but if you've ever seen RDJ on set near his costars, he's always wearing huge lifts. Hell, just being next to Goopy, he has to wear lifts.

  • Tim

I feel certain Ruffalo has to be the shortest of any of them

  • BlackRabbit

Am I the only one who just likes saying his name? RuffaloRuffaloRuffalo

In my head I'm putting this to the tune of that one song from The Marriage of Figaro.

nerd alert: It's from Barber of Seville by Rossini (but it is "Figaro"). (3 min mark)
