Today is a big day in the wizarding world. This is the day that James Sirius Potter, the son of Ginny Weasley-Potter and the now 35-year-old Harry, heads off to Hogwarts. In case you’d forgotten that this day was coming, JK Rowling was there to remind you, and to ask for anyone in the area to keep an eye out for the young wizard.
I'm in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King's Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts

For those who responded, Rowling wants us to be friendly, but she also knows the bonds that can formed on that train, and wants to make sure no one gets in the way of that.
Thanks! Say 'hi' back, but only if it won't interrupt any burgeoning friendships. https://t.co/Al54tGHvWK

Which may be hard to avoid, really.
Now worried that he'll be irritated by the number of people saying hi. https://t.co/6keaEOsKS0

Apparently Rowling has someone on the inside. (I mean, it’s not like she’s just making this up, RIGHT?) The sorting hat ceremony seems to have gone well.
Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed.

It’s true that all of our favorite people are Hufflepuffs, but we’ll try to overlook Potter’s Gryffindor status. That does seem more fitting, doesn’t it?
