Eleven days after an appendectomy surgery, Bret Michaels has suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage. He is currently in critical condition. His status is “touch and go.”

Bret Michaels is the front-man for ’80s Glam sensation Poison, the poster boy for Vh1 celebrity reality programming, and a contestant on the current cycle of “Celebrity Apprentice.” Bret Michaels is 47. He’s performed “Unskinny Bop” more than 2,200 times. He also has diabetes. One of these two facts may have contributed to the hemorrhage.

We wish him a hopeful and speedy recovery.

Oh NO. If he kicks it, the entire weekend will be peppered with "tributes" and memorials for this clown, and I don't think I could take it.

...so...here's hoping for a speedy recovery for the poor man.

for as silly as bret seems, he is truly a sweet and down to earth guy with a very big heart. all my best to him.

I'm holding up my lighter and swaying back and forth.

Seriously, man, no disparaging words about a guy in a hospital. He may be a silly self-parody now, but this is the man who brought us "Talk Dirty to Me."

I'm no fan of Poison, but I did just read a sweet article about Bret Michaels and how he is with his daughters. Here's to a speedy recovery for a loving father!!

Never was much of a Poison fan, but had the opportunity to see them in 2001 or 2002 and they gave it 100% and totally rocked that show. Get well Bret!

I always loathed Poison and all bands of that ilk. But strangely, the dude IS sort of likable while not performing those awful songs. Hope he recovers, that's some nasty, nasty shit to go through.

I know this is a site for scathing and bitchy, but,
the Unskinny Bop reference was kind of classless given the man is fighting for his life.

I hate Poison. Truthfully, I can't tell the difference between Poison songs and Motley Crue songs.

That being said... Brett has given me hours of entertainment in his trainwreck of reality shows. Guilty pleasure.

While I hate his music, I think he's probably a really nice guy. Just a nice guy whose diabeetus has gotten the better of him.

Hope he recovers.

Here's hoping the dude recovers. Sure wish he'd reflect on his life and STOP doing that VH1 shit.

Wha' happen? Did he untie his bandana?

I never liked Poison, despise that reality crap he's doing now, but the dude seemed harmless and nice. Shouldn't be scathing and bitchy when he's fighting for his life, I guess.

He really did seem like a decent guy, and I LOVED the first season of Rock of Love, so I hope he recovers and does another season without annoying Megan.

um...this might be stating the obvious, but...

his status has been 'touch and GO" for a long time now.

It seems only fair for him to develop a brain hemorrhage when he's been giving them to people for years.

From MSNBC:
Apr 20, 2010 ... Drummer Devon Clifford of the band You Say Party! We Say Die! has died of a massive brain hemorrhage, the band's publicist said. He was 30.

I will miss his musical contributions to a fine, fine band.
