Mr. Rowles are you losing touch with your readers? Two of those posts started with the premise that most of hated someone, Megan Fox and Jimmy Kimmel, but the comments for the most part ranged from all positive (Kimmel) to mostly neutral (Fox).

  • Rowles is right on point, I hate both of them.

I would agree about the dog at the end of LOST, but technically they were just mirroring the events of the pilot episode, in which Jack woke up in the woods and Vincent was the first thing he saw, and who subsequently led him to the crash site.

The entire series was cheaply manipulative. But I liked the dog there. Every tragic scene could use a big happy dog laying down next to the dying guy. It works!

Really, dude? How technical of them.

Holy shit Dennis Hopper just died! With Gary Coleman gone and now Dennis, alls I need is for Brett Michaels to take a turn for the worst and I’m looking at about fifteen hundred clams. Please somebody tell me Michaels is back in the hospital.

The celebrity summer cull for 2010 has officially begun. RIP Dennis Hopper.

People still discuss the merits of, I don't know, MANY a fucking thing after the fact.

    Democracy, for instance.

Is there a permissible window of discussion of a thing for a finite amount of time after it has been released.

    Are you the discussion nazi?

People discussing the purposes of cave paintings are a bit late to the party, but I wouldn't exactly call that "It happened a long time ago; get over it."

Americans and your now-ness. Get over THAT.

I think it's pretty well settled that there are those people who liked the finale of Lost and those that didn't. There's really nothing at this point that hasn't been said or pointed out that's going to sway one side or the other.

I feel fortunate to fall into the "liked" the finale group, but understand those that didn't like it and the reasons why.

Posted by: ForbiddenDonut at May 29, 2010 7:02 PM

I just think it's curious that so many have voiced opinions along the lines of "shut up" instead of facilitating discussion.

Really? Look back at "The Ten Most Popular Posts of the Week". The top three are all discussions on this topic. There were more than enough opinions facilitating discussion.

i found the dog really really depressing. all i could think was, "awesome, now that dude who cheated on his wife with a stripper is going to die and the dog will STARVE TO DEATH FUCK YOU STRIPPER FUCKER!"

Posted by: kristin at May 30, 2010 12:33 AM

    GET OVER IT!

The return of the lovely dog was a beautiful moment, you fuck.

    Haters hate.

    That is all.

near whole of the last episode mirrored the first,as to come full circle, and the final moments of the latter the dog was also featured...well to a lostie at least this makes perfect sense.all those "did you feel it?" moments felt more manipulative.

Don't worry, kristin. The dog isn't going to starve to death. The dog has lived with Rose and Bernard for, like, the last three years. Also, Ben and Hurley are around. They can feed Vincent too. Your rage, on this point, is misguided.

    The dog was awesome.

    AWESOME!

    That is all.

Vincent being there at the end was the icing on my 6 year LOST cake.
