What Better Way to Celebrate the Holidays? Seriously, Suggestions Welcome.

The Sing Off on NBC at 8:00pm ET. Two hour fourth season finale. Well that was quick, didn’t this start like a month ago? A sad day for you a cappella enthusiasts.

Monday Night Football: Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers on ESPN at 8:40pm ET.

Christmas in Norway with the St.Olaf Choir on PBS at 9:00pm ET.

The Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC at 9:00pm ET. First season finale. You know the people from this show who are having the BEST Christmas? The power companies who are billing these houses. Or more likely, billing ABC for the houses featured on this show.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi on PBS at 10:00pm ET. I have heard this is excellent, so if you’re in a documentary mood tonight PBS is where it’s at. Of course, if you’re the kind of person who gets in “documentary moods” you were probably already aware of that fact.

Genevieve Burgess will be back after Christmas, but in time to bemoan the lack of quality television prior to the new year.

I've already seen the Jiro Dreams of Sushi. It's good. I saw it again at my local sushi restaurant. They were playing it on the TV screens instead of their usual anime.

I would watch you talk shit about pretty much anything you want to talk shit about.

As someone married to an Ole (and choir alum), props for including Christmas Fest. Worthwhile if you want to listen to REAL ensemble singing. :)

Good. The Sing-Off suffered when they tried to make it a regular singing competition and stretched it out too far. The short end of the year event means no viewer fatigue and makes the whole thing feel more special.

And Jiro is an excellent documentary. Not life-changing, but very well done and engaging.

For whatever it's worth, The Sing-Off has been aca-delightful to watch on Hulu the morning after. Also I have a massive crush on the Southern boys from Vocal Rush. Also I woke up with a massive head cold this morning and am currently tripping out on NyQuil and whiskey so the rest of any comments I make this evening should be an aca-delight to Pajiba as well.

    Aca-Early Merry Christmas, y'all.

I did that a couple of months ago on tequila and despair after visiting my grandmother. I couldn't tell the difference between my sober comments and my drunk comments, which probably says a lot about my lack of filter.
