TV Has Taught Me That the Law is A Virtually Paperless Enterprise

Parks and Recreation on NBC at 8:30pm ET.

Suits on USA at 9:00pm ET. I’m always amazed at how dramatic and glamorous lawyer shows make law firms look. Also: attractive. Everyone’s super pretty and very well dressed, and busy having very very serious conversations all over the place. Typically in a flawlessly appointed office with lots of very clean desks and an absence of clutter. As best I can tell from friends who are lawyers, this is a complete fantasy in almost every regard. And that’s without touching the courtroom scenes. So, any lawyers out there who regularly engage in law dramas for a laugh?

Portlandia on IFC at 10:00pm ET.

The Real World/Road Rules Challenge on MTV at 10:00pm ET. 90 minute 25th season premiere. MTV has changed a lot over it’s lifetime, but 20-somethings with poor decision-making abilities are eternal. Even though the current crop weren’t even born when the channel first started broadcasting.

Vikings on History at 10:00pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess also technically wasn’t born when MTV started broadcasting, but is above the current cut-off date for MTV reality series.
