Stick to Culturally Approved Methods of Expressing Dissatisfaction

NBC Sports Special: Nancy & Tonya on NBC at 7:00pm ET. Because the most interesting thing to happen in US Figure Skating happened 20 years ago. I’m not suggesting that Gracie Gold, Ashley Wagner, Polina Edmunds, or Mirai Nagasu look to these two for inspiration, because that was horrible, but a bit more fire wouldn’t hurt. Ashley Wagner almost managed it with that great reaction gif from the team event but then was quickly shuffled off to the Media Training hole to keep anything that displayed a hint of personality from happening again. They did manage to fix her face, but her interviews remain as wonderfully pointed as ever.

The Amazing Race on CBS at 8:00pm ET. 24th season premiere.

2014 Olympic Winter Games on NBC at 8:30pm ET. Closing ceremonies. Time to say goodbye to Russia and heave a deep sigh of relief.

Downton Abbey on PBS at 9:00pm ET. Fourth season finale. How many season finales has this show had that came down to whether or not someone would propose to Mary or if she would accept? I feel like it’s three out of four at this point.

True Detective on HBO at 9:00pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess gets a little tired of the attitude that all athletes should adhere perfectly to the socially-approved script the media hands them no matter what.
