The iHeart Radio Album Release Party with Lady Gaga on The CW at 8:00pm ET. One of the fun parts of the internet is that because that the rush to be first is forcing cultural commentators to turn around opinions and predictions in less than 24 hours, if not within an hour or two, so the race to declare Lady Gaga a failure started approximately a week before this album actually dropped. Disappointingly, it’s selling just as well as as Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus’s latest albums, if not as well as Born This Way. Also, Interscope isn’t actually going to lose $25 million on it.

Esquire Special: Women We Love on Esquire at 8:00pm ET. Listen, guys, I don’t mean to blow your mind or anything but I’ve noticed that “Esquire” tends to love women who look really good in lingerie. Weird, right? Given that it’s a men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine you’d think a not-insignificant portion of the audience would prefer women in tastefully styled evening wear.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC at 8:00pm ET.

New Girl on Fox at 9:00pm ET.

Sons of Anarchy on FX at 10:00pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess would like you to know that “Applause” as a single is a terrible barometer for the rest of the album.

So... you actually have nothing to say about Natalie Dormer... cool...

Dear Jon Stewart: you are funny and I enjoy your show. But when someone like Bill Cosby is on, and he's in the middle of a story, no one wants you to interrupt him with a joke. Shutting up and letting Bill Cosby talk is definitely an option.

  • I love Jon Stewart as the commentator /fake newscaster, but he's a terrible interviewer. I almost always skip the second half of the show.

  • Tonight's Person of Interest:

I knew Fusco was a red herring, but I thought it was going to be Shaw until the kiss. Bastards.

  • Bastards is right. They've got the pitchforks and torches out over at the Facebook page.

If you're going to kill someone off, kill the one that hurts the most. Unless it's Game of Thrones, then it's kill whoever was late to work that day.

  • Sean

Natalie's pose reminds me of Jessica Chastain's "come hither" GQ shots...

Anyone else give up on shield? I'm enjoying arrow much more

It has gotten a lot better in recent weeks. Anything not focusing on Sky is a + but I've completely fallen in love with the Fitz and Simmons thing. And I'm already preparing for Whedon to rip my heart out by killing one of them.

I'm actually enjoying the hell out of AOS, it's just that people have the wrong expectations for the series. They go in expecting a full-blown comic-booky action series and get discouraged by all the slower moments and character development. But all this is gonna pay off once the big plots start, which I'm sure will be sooner than people realize. I also love that the series is establishing lots of mysteries without going for the immediate payoff. Just the Tahiti thing is gonna be massive I'm sure.

Just keep this in mind, let's see if it helps raise interest: every time someone mentions Tahiti, Coulson says "It's a magical place." "Tahiti" is not a place: it's a trigger word for post-hypnotic suggestion. Every time a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent mentions Tahiti to Coulson, they're waiting for his reply to be sure that the brainwashing is holding in place.

I didn't realize it was an either/or situation. Not to mention the fact that Arrow was pretty bad until the 2nd half of season 1.

  • eveeve

    I stopped after the pilot.

  • stella

Man, I watched three episodes and then realized that it felt like a chore..

  • Repo

I haven't but feel like I can't watch tonight's episode since it's apparently filled with Thor 2 spoilers and I haven't seen that yet. Crossover backfire!

  • Sam Underwood

Its not filled with Thor 2 spoilers. Its barely a Crossover episode. Literally, they are in London after the movie, cleaning up. Then they run off to Norway 5 minutes later to deal with other things.
