I Am Familiar With These Kind of Days

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | June 16, 2014 | Comments ()

24: Live Another Day on Fox at 9:00pm ET. This is the first time I’ve really thought about the addition to the title of 24 this season. If they add another “one-off” will it be “Live Another Day, Again” or “Another Day to Live”?

American Ninja Warrior on NBC at 9:00pm ET.

Major Crimes on TNT at 9:00pm ET.

48 Hours: Oscar Pistorius on CBS at 10:00pm ET. While they clearly chose to emphasize the more recognizable name for the sake of advertising, it looks like there will be a good deal of focus on Reeva Steenkamp. In particular, 48 Hours has a speech she was set to make to teenage girls regarding domestic violence and valuing one’s self and abilities in the face of difficulties. The trial of Oscar Pistorius for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp will resume on June 30th, after Pistorius undergoes a full psychological examination.

Louie on FX at 10:00pm ET. Fourth season finale. This is two episodes in a row, and the second episode is the season finale.

Genevieve Burgess is unconvinced that this is the end of Jack Bauer.

Quick question, when is Fargo coming back?

I just binged all the episodes on my DVR over the weekend and I'm aching for my next dose of biblical fatalism ASAP.

Today. And it looks to be the season finale.

I was just noticing, so I think I'll ask:

Has "Louie" been burning two episodes a week all season?

  • Danar the Barbarian

Yes. Two half-hour episodes per Monday. If you watch the show, you know he's doing a BANG-BANG.

  • e jerry powell

    Sporadically, I admit.

  • Al Borland's Beard

Yeah, it's been two a week all season. Last week it was one hour and a half long episode.

  • John G.

one hour and a half long AMAZING episode

  • Danar the Barbarian

I watched the first twenty minutes and wasn't sold. Came back the next night and finished it and was blown away. SO. GOOD.

  • Martin Holterman

I'm not sure about the first few episodes, but certainly in recent weeks it's been two at a time. I've been wondering about that too.

If so, I blame the network.
