The Roosevelts: An Intimate History on PBS at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This new seven-part, 14 hour series will explore the lives of Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt and their impact on American history. The show will begin with Theordore’s birth in 1858 and continue up to Eleanor’s death in 1962. I am certain there are several American history nerds who have already gotten the season pass for this on their DVRs. Enjoy, friends.

Sunday Night Football: Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers on NBC at 8:20pm ET.

Boardwalk Empire on HBO at 9:00pm ET. So who’s starting the dead pool for this one? And no betting on characters who were actually real people, that’s just not fair.

Masters of Sex on Showtime at 10:00pm ET.

The Strain on FX at 10:00pm ET. Now that we’re sort of well into the season, can anyone tell me if this is worth catching up on? I’m slightly burned out on the touchy-feely variety of Vampires, but could probably stomach some really gross ones if they’re done well.

Genevieve Burgess is more excited for the TV that’s coming up in a week or two than the TV that’s on tonight.
