5 Shows After Dark: It Just Gets Funnier With Each Passing Year

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | September 6, 2012 | Comments ()

"2012 MTV Video Music Awards" on MTV at 8:00pm ET. So I'm pretty sure that Kanye interrupting Taylor Swift a few years back was the most interesting thing that had happened at the VMAs in years and you know there's some producers in a back room at MTV trying to figure out how to replicate that without making it look staged.

"Project Runway" on Lifetime at 9:00pm ET.

"Rookie Blue" on ABC at 9:00pm ET. Third season finale.

"The Democratic National Convention" on ABC, CBS, and NBC at 10:00pm ET. NBC's coverage actually starts an hour earlier. I was following the news last night on Twitter and it appears that Bill Clinton is running again? Or something.

"Texas Car Wars" on Discovery at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. Oh good! More Texan stereotypes on the TV.

Genevieve Burgess just wants to get this election cycle over with already.

"Texas Car Wars"??? Good grief. That is pretty sad.

Where is PBS and Ken Burns when you need them... oh well, thank the Godtopus for DVDs and DVR.

  • L.O.V.E.

    Amy and Will getting divorced.

    Very sad.

  • i'm not sure how, but rookie blue has become a guilty pleasure of mine. i don't normally have those, but it kinda embarrasses me to enjoy it.

  • And here I've always thought the first Kanye Interruption was staged.

Me too. I'd never heard of Taylor Swift before that incident, and she's been all over the place since then. Best thing that ever happened to her.

Unrelated, but everything is bad, all the time, always. And love is dead.
