5 Shows After Dark: McHale and Guinness, What Else Could You Ask For?
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on NBC at 9:00pm ET. Two hour 15th season premiere. Hey, guys, you know how Olivia Benson has been a strong person crusading for the rights of sexual assault victims for years? Well, they’re really giving her some interesting storyline in the season premiere… by beating her up, tying her to a chair, and having her held hostage by a murderer. Promo images show her with a bloodied nose, a bruised face, and duct tape over her mouth. The preview on NBC ends with her being pistol whipped. Should be super-good! I’m gonna go vomit forever now. Come tap me on the shoulder when we can convince writers that “assault” isn’t a macro for character development.
The Getaway on Esquire at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is the same format as Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover in that each episode covers 48 hours, but the celebrity hosts will rotate. The show starts off with Pajiba favorite Joel McHale visiting Belfast.
Broadchurch on BBCA at 10:00pm ET. First season finale.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FXX at 10:00pm ET.
Key & Peele on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET. YOU GUYS LOOK WHAT I JUST FOUND! The portrait of the lovely and not at all crazy-eyed Shakiraquan T.G.I.F Carter is on my twitter account for those who are curious.
Genevieve Burgess will point out that the link in her name goes to her Twitter account in case you were unaware of that fact.
