5 Shows After Dark: Shout Out to the Browncoats!

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | September 24, 2012 | Comments ()

"How I Met Your Mother" on CBS at 8:00pm ET. Eighth season premiere. I know so many people who love this show who keep trying to get me to watch and every time I try I get so annoyed with Ted I can't keep up with it. I get that some people can work around that, but I just can't. If the show was about Marshall and Lilly and their idiot friend Ted I'd be on board. Oh, and Barney and Robin can stay. Obviously.

"Monday Night Football: Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks" on ESPN at 8:30pm ET. I'm hoping other cities follow the example of my beloved Baltimore and start inappropriate chants directed at the refs. Especially at CenturyLink which I hear is the loudest stadium in the NFL.

"Partners" on CBS at 8:30pm ET. Series premiere. This is about two friends who work together in an architecture firm but then one gets engaged and the other is in a serious relationshizzzzzzz. Whoa, sorry, I fell asleep there for a minute. Apparently this is slightly controversial because basically the exact same show aired on Fox in 1995 with the same name which does seem a bit foolish. But then, I've never been impressed with people who name sitcoms so why should that change now?

"Hawaii Five-0" on CBS at 10:00pm ET. Third season premiere.

"Castle" on ABC at 10:00pm ET. Fifth season premiere.

Genevieve Burgess Is thrilled to have worthwhile television to write about again. At least for the moment.

    Browncoat and Purplebelly...*sigh...

Was there no red shirt in the Wardrobe Department!?!?

Well Castle was better than I thought it was going to be, but I didn't have high hopes. At least they wrapped up the stupid "Who shot JR?" I mean "Who killed my mother?" lingering story arc. I guess next week it will be business as usual, except with the all, "Who me, I'm not having sex with anyone at work" thing.

The only thing Castle loves more than making fun of James Patterson is giving shout outs to Firefly fans.

DVR HIMYM and you can fast forward through the Ted parts.

If Seattle chants it will be the only good thing to ever come out of that stadium or from that team.

Fuck yeah we were loud as shit. Say what you will about Baltimore but when it comes to vocalizing anger with coordinated swearing in mass...we are pretty fucking good at it.
